Where Did The Extra 7 Minutes Of film come from?

I distinctly remember Ridley saying this "Cut" of the film came in at roughly 1 Hour and 59 Minutes, but for the cut of the film at the MAX theater I am going to in Montreal, it is listed as 2 hours and 6 minutes. Does any body have any ideas for me on the reason for the discrepancy in film length? Didn't you know? The Americans and Canadians get extra footage as a thank-you for waiting an extra week while the rest of the world tears it to pieces.... ; )

It's because they know your coming to watch it there so they added a few scenes but it could also mean they added some more commercials.

Maybe they added in that special 8 min ending that they were going on about, the tie in to Alien, at the last minute to avoid any of it being leaked??

The Blu-Ray says "run time 124 minutes". Do they normally count the credits in there?
