AHhhhh so at the end of all the credits they leave a dam date?? hmmm gonna be watching this tomorrow eve...i still cant wait...gonna take this as it is a stand alone film with links to the Alien universe as thats what they have stated all along...

Well, there was more at the very very end. but all i remember of that was Wayland (Yutani?) and some details and this date: 10.11.12 .... So WTH is this about!

hmm i reckon it could be a wait to see how well it does at the Box office! and then keep some kind of Viral campaign going to spread across the net, DVD and blue ray etc to eventually keep everyone hooked on it and eventually get a sequal out! but thats just a wild guess...

Release date of Prometheus 2 ?

I don't think there is a Prometheus 2 ready. It's not possible to keep secret something like that, and it wouldn't even be a wise move from a commercial point of view, unless it's 2112 they are referring to. It might be the home video release date with an extended cut or an extension of the viral campaign to keep sales going.

So... Is this confirmed by anyone?

i think it will be a short film either sowing the connection of prometheus to alien(how the eggs got on lv 426, y the aliens were made or where they came from,) or it will show weyland yutani investigating lv 223 and coming into comtact with the deacon, dead bob, cuddles, and the black goo

As I've posted in another thread, simple maths can be used to possibly confirm the intention of doing so: 10 + 11 + 12 = 33 2012 (Prometheus) - 33 = 1979 (ALIEN) ...and please no TV series, you can't be serious djamelameziane!

I know but it does depend on what type of TV series - if it were a few very high budget really cool episodes which actually fill in some info about the film and done in the right way it could be ok but yer allot of them end up being trash. The main reason I tihnk it might be this is the 'TV' grade actors in the prometheus project teasers : [url=http://www.projectprometheus.com/careers/]http://www.projectprometheus.com/careers/[/url] But to be honest its not a strong feeling yet - still all too vague - tv series is slightly in front of short film and just the DVD for me but my heart wants part 2 :D or an advertisement for it for next year! And be careful of numerology as you can pretty much read anything into anything I think thats basically what prometheus is in a sense - so many different interpretations due to vagueness ! :D

hmmm...amazon.com (US) just changed the release date of the prometheus blu ray to 10.9.12. Amazon has displayed 10.11.12 as the release date of the blu ray for some time now. Why now did they change it from the 11'th back to the 9th?? If, in fact, 10.9.12 is the official release date of the home video....begs the question...what is 10.11.12? maybe its not just the blu ray release afterall?

I didn't realize that I may have been one of the first people to notice this. On the Weyland Industries website, you can find a corporate timeline. On this OFFICIAL timeline, it notes 'October 11, 2012' (10.11.12) as the day that [i]"Weyland Corporation is recognized as a legal entity and corporation under United States law and receives their Certificate of Incorporation from the Companies House in the United Kingdom."[/i] I haven't seen anyone else mention this anywhere. Although it could be nothing, it seems like way too huge of a coincidence to me, considering the deep intricacies of Ridley's mind. Let The Speculation Begin!
