The problem here is definitely expectations. It's funny. I was going thru the reviews on rotten tomatoes and seeing what the reviewers which gave it a rotten rating thought of other films. It really was laughable. For example one had rated the Angelina Jolie film Salt as fresh and rated Prometheus as rotten. That's laughable and I still haven't even seen Prometheus. You also have fans that said say Sphere is a good film and that Prometheus sucked. Now Sphere is a pretty decent film but expectations for it were no where close the expectations for Prometheus. In short people need to just quit having silly expectations as I know there are films that do not equal Prometheus that they find enjoyable.
