Iv yet to see prometheus but so far iv read more negative reviews than good. Peoples main problem is that it leaves too many unanswered questions, heck alien left many questions unexplained but no one said it ruined the movie!! It left you wondering about the space jockey only to make another movie filling out the gaps (hopefully). Maybe unanswered questions in prometheus will be told in another movie.. thoughts.

There's alot of bad reviews from disgruntled fans who already shot the film in their heads & their minds cannot deal with the finished product - talot of the MAIN UK reviews (Total Film, The Standard, Telegraph, Scotsman) gave it 4/5... I wil;l make up my own mind but take note of some of these top critics ... BBC Mark kermode gives 7.5/10

Here here! Let's try to be objective, enter this as art. You're absolutely right, if you expect to see what You want, you won't! Enter with an open mind and love it for what it is! The other, much bigger problem is that people are lazy and stupid these days, they don't want to have to think. I can't stand all the talking / questions that happen during the movies these days. If folks would shut up, listen and think, they might get what's going on!

I was EXACTLY like you last night before I saw the movie. Sadly it is not a good film which law of averages says 2 out of 3 will agree. Sorry I know it's hard but that's the way it is.

I had faith. It didn`t work out. And no i just wanted a good sci-fi movie even if it`s not connected to Alien. Believe me there is a lot connections between Alien and Prometheus just the second one is a mess. And this movie abused my intelligence. Sorry.

Yeah, I think for most of us this has nothing to do with "Alien related Expectations." Certainly not in my case. I just wanted an amazing story, insane cinematography, a great cast, and top notch directing. I got everything but the amazing story... I got a fractured, incomplete and insulting one. There was no maturity and sophistication to the final act... it was an entirely rushed hollywood mess. It is almost shocking to me that a final act like this would appear in a Ridley Scott movie. I don't blame Lindelof or Spaihts. I blame Ridley and FOX for giving the thumbs up. I hate when people keep saying "RS always mentioned a sequel" well yes and no... it started off as a 2-part adventure and then got made into ONE. What it feels like is at the last minute they changed ideas and made a big hole in the end as to ensure that a sequel will happen. You can END a movie and allow it to have closed it's story arcs AND leave room for expansion... RS did it in Alien. I don't see why he couldn't have done the same here.

I went in with open eyes and not expecting an alien prequel. You don't get any more open than that. Sadly it's just a crap movie
