Does David resembles Dr. Zachary Smith?

I haven't seen Prometheus yet; however, I couldn't help but feeling a "Lost In Space" vibe in that scene from the trailer where David opens the entrance to a chamber in the temple and says "OOOps" Then starts touching the urns, I assume irresponsibly... Good old Dr. Zachary Smith used to do things like that, always putting the Robinsons' lives in peril. I also find the sets to be a little bit "staged" as opposed to the more organic look of the original Alien sets, another point that reminds me to the old tv series. Any opinions?
