Overall the film was great, the whole feel of it, was unsettling and unnerving, from the crew to the Aliens, to the setting, like Alien. There were flaws in places and question marks (e.g Idris Elba willingly sacrificing his life without hesitation), but it left me WANTING to go and see it again. Before seeing the film, I was really worried about these Engineers and their appearance, whether it would be too much like a 'typical alien' etc. I was worried it would ruin the mystery of the Space Jockey (am i allowed to say that?) But surprisingly, I loved their appearance, they were creepy (which they had to be) and human-like. The scene where they wake up the Engineer from the cryo tube was one of my favourite, I found it interesting how it was observing these creations of theirs standing in front of it so far away from where they were created, the engineer must be clueless and astounded. The only flaw with it/him, was that they seemed too brutish, or unresponsive. Maybe this is because humans are merely experiments for them, but the Engineer must have been impressed, surely to have found him?! Anyway, I left wanting more answers about the Jockeys than I did before I went in. And why can't that be a good thing? Lots of people have been unsatisfied with the information or story about the Engineers, but I think experiencing one even just alive, it's behaviour, reasoning and appearance was enough satisfaction. 8.5/10

My thought was that if you'd stockpiled a load of weapons to wipe out a race (or instances of a certain race on a certain planet - that amount of weapons suggests 'we are not alone') and then members of said race broke into your ship and woke you up, you'd kill em straight off, no?
