I love the Engineers (spoilers-inside)

I'm so pleased with new film. It has flaws, but in terms of the Alien mythology, I feel its been expanded a lot more. Especially with its tie in with humans too. I find the Engineers much more frightening than the Xenomorph, they are damn creepy. The scene when the Engineer unravels his hood gave me shivers of fright and fascination. I've got used to the Xenomorph for the past 10 years (i'm 19 now) and well yeah, I'm really pleased with the Engineer design, personality (Hostile, like xenomorphs and intimidating). The idea of these beings treating Humans as experiments or little creations is a terrifying thought in comparison to the Xenomorphs who've been reduced to 'bugs' in the many sequels (which is a shame). The only thing, which maybe scares me more is the facehuggers, they're quite nasty. Does anyone else like them?

I Love them, and hope they too will become iconic movie aliens. I'm so glad they are not cheesy greys. I do love their look. The naked 'greek god' at the beginning of the film looked very different from the evil 'sleeping' jockey at the end. The latter one seemed to have scales/ribbing on his neck extending from his bio mechanical costume, as if it were part of him. Was he an entirely different branch of the species? They even had different ships. Some fans on this site earlier speculated that they might have been opposing factions.

Hmm maybe! Well think, that scene at the beginning took place thousands of years ago and he was naked in preparation to, dissolve? Also, the one who they wake from cryosleep is probably wearing that suit in preparation for operating the ship or living in.. I'm pretty sure they're the same faction. And yeah, I was curious about that weird circular ship.... The fact this film has made more questions is a really good thing imo, which most people seem to disagree with. Discussing the mystery is the fun of these films!

I love the questions - probably more so now that I have seen some of the intriguing points and ideas posed by other fans. I was frustrated and annoyed by the movie for not giving answers and just saving them up for a sequel, but I did enjoy the film ( seen it twice now ). I really want to see a novelisation of the movie and/or spin off comics. If the sequel moves further away from ALIEN as Lindelof suggested, I would love to see them answer certain questions in a clever and interesting ( non-cop out ) way...

I've been hunting down pictures of the Engineers ever since I got back from the movies... Having an earlier release date is kind of frustrating in the sense that I can't find all the content I want because most of the world wants to be spoiler-free *wink* Oh well, guess we'll have to rely on blurry trailer screenshots and fan art for the next few remaining days.

I'd love to see some FEMALE ones, I mean, look at the mussles of these guys!!!
