Ok I saw the premier at midnight the other day. Loved the film, they were right, its different from Alien and its own kettle of fish, which I'm happy with. But for those of you that have seen it, what was the deal with the storm? Was it some kind of defense mechanism against intruders or a natural occurance? After all Shaw said that they had affected the atmosphere in the room and the murals started changing. Were these things connected and why did the murals change?

I know that in real life artwork and statues get affected alot by environmental changes, I think the same thing applies to the murals in the movie. Link-->Van Gogh paintings 'degraded by UV-driven reaction'
