If you're mental, I am mental too, as I was thinking the same a couple of days ago: will Prometheus get any Oscar nominations?
I need to watch it a few more times to get a clear idea. It's surely the best candidate for the visual compartment, and if there were an award for marketing, that would be a no brainer, too!
Not sure about other aspects, yet.
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

Does it matter? I don't care much for awards. But these type of films rarely tend to get in the frame all that often. Certainly for visual effects it could be in with a shout. It looked incredible.

wow - the administrators quickly took my comment down.
Democracy rules right?
Rather cowardly chaps!

Noticed mine had gone too.
Did we appoint Ridley as a mod over the weekend?

if your comment is nothing more than an ego driven insult which makes no sense and has no place in the thread and is completely unrelated to the subject matter, it's getting deleted, and in both your cases it could be way worse than that, stop right now, stop going to threads spreading cancer and and dropping hate bombs and spoilers, stick to the subject matter posted by the OP, not going to do this Dance with either of you again !!! Grow Up !!! There are lots of people who have yet to see this film here, and specific places set up for you both to go spew your unfounded venom without having to produce the superior writing you both have done yourselves to in order to prove any credibility you might have which I am now quite positive you both do not!!!

Oh. Definitely didn't expect this tame topic to stir up such a hornets nest.
I'm just disappointed I was too slow to see the violating posts before they were removed. I'm intrigued as to their content now! :-)
Thanks to those contributing and extending my initial topic.

My original thread had suggested the acting performances were 'average'. I will retract that statement for Michael Fassbender and to a lesser extent Noomi Rapace who were excellent and good respectively.

The Raspberry award for pretty much everything except Fassbender, Noomi, the stunning visual effects and the soundtrack

I agree Merc7, RAZZIES everywhere, As it,s been said before, Prometheus is the new Phantom Menace, the difference is that in Phantom, there was one and only Jar jar Binks, in Prometheus, there are a lot.....
