Prometheus 2 - Zeus (Yutani)

Hi all ... just scribbled some thoughts on the next act of the new Mythology .. more holes than PROMETHEUS , but I hope you get the brief ... incidently I loved Prometheus ... it is long ... sorry ... Prometheus 2 - Zeus Opening Shot .... A Deep Space Vessel, the Zeus enters into a new star system ... A ringed planetoid in the distance is seen illuminating a moon, LV-223. The camera pans , and the name Zeus is clearly writtten on the side of the starship , as it pans into view ... the logo and word YUTANI is clearly written on the side ship too ... The crew of the Zeus awake from their sleep. A number of grunts, scientiffic bods, and mercs are introduced. They land on the planet and the crew are split into 2. Crew 1 : Explore the Temple, finding the urns , they are attacked by cobra-aliens and their evolved counter-parts.One of the crew picks up an urn and takes it with them and back to the ship. Crew 2 : Explore the Lifeboat. They come into contact with the Proto-Alien, which has evolved ... but not a Queen , it has a proboscis, and it infects one of the crew a male. The Alien dies and the infected crew member make it back to the ship. As the rest of the crew gather in the mess along with the planetory expedition, the full scale of the attack is realised, the ship is attacked by forces unseen / and a storm of such magnitude erupts, that the Zeus has to leave the planet. As they clear into orbit they are left with decisions to make. Ethical decisions , what to do next ? Do they go home ? Do they stay ? or do they follow there crew member Shaw who has left a message for them? As these questions are pondered, the infected crew member is placed in isolation , they don't realise the scale of the attack and that they have been infected ... tests are carried out that resemble the tests carried by KANE in ALIEN. The chief scientiffic officer is seen in private they are alone and they are checking the vials that come out of the urn, under the microscope the finger of the officer is seen in close-up there is a letter it is W the officer is called EVE. After a fight and an attempted mutiny,the crew decide to follow SHAW and her original secretive mission. The captain watches a playback ... it shows SHAW on earth , some three years before, explaining how she was uncomfortable with the Weland Corporation, and the way that had changed the crew of the PROMETHEUS at the last minute , the introduction of DAVID and VICKERS ... and that her dream of finding their makers / engineers had changed. She had approached YUTANI in the hope that they would help her ... the old transmission is cut short when EVE bursts into the captains room and shouts you need to get here, there is a problem ... In the medical bay the original infected crew member has gestated , his appearance has altered, it cannot be explained ... we know he looks oval in shape , his head has misshapen and become vulva-like ... his skin , what's left is opaque .. he is coccooned and looks like BRETT as he was cocooned in the missing scene from ALIEN. No one knows what is happening confusion reigns, the captain and EVE convince the crew we have to find SHAW she is the only one who can help. Meanwhile EVE retires to the safety of her isolated room to continue her research ... on the Black Death / Goo ... she begins to understand ... The infected crew member explodes and a NEW TYPE of facehugger is born .. quickly infecting the crew ... we play out ALIEN / ALIENS with various scenes of Gore and action ... All the while the ship is gliding through space ... to find SHAW and DAVID and the answers ... Eventually with only a few crew members left , the Zeus reaches the Engineers homeworld ... they follow Shaws signal that has been emitted from DAVID. They see a ship ... a Derelict ... Landing on the planet ... they are met by a world of nightmarish porportions it is Gigers world!!! But it is a dead world ... Covered in biomechanical mass like atmosphere processer in ALIENS they step into a completely unknown world. There are temples like in PROMETHEUS, with giant HEADS and more ... Citadels that reach to the sky, illuminated with biomechanical goo .. but there is no sign of life ... The signal is getting stronger ... they follow till they reach a catherdal-like monument that is different to the rest of their surroundings ... They enter ... and there they find thousands and thousands of sarcophagi...inside each is an Engineer , they are living , they are breathing ... and they are sleeping ... The crew continue ... passing through a a great hall of empty URNS , there are dead engineers everywhere, their bodies surround them coccooned in bio-mechanical mess... The signal is stronger .. they are close ... They turn into a room with output screens ... clearly some kind of library ... There is a sound ... it is DAVID , he is there .. but just his HEAD ... sitting next to him is DR Elizabeth Shaw ... she is asleep ... Welcome to Heaven David says ... Shaw wakes up ... no this is HELL Shaw screams ... and EVE replies no this Pugatory ... SHAW ..begins to explain ... The engineers are not God, but they created life ...They created us , and they loved us , but they wanted more ... they could not stop ...we were not enough , they had to continue , we were not perfect ... they found their nightmare , they loved us , they wanted us to stay where we were , we evolved too quick , we too created life , but we forgot about them .. it was a warning , we were wrong , so wrong, HOLLOWAY and ME we were so wrong ... They never wanted us to come we were never invited , they wanted us to be safe ... Their experiments failed and they found perfection , but perfection destroyed them ... they saved what they could, and went to outposts across the universe to experiment , their homeworld was dead .. these sleeping Engineers are the scholars , the academics and the great minds .. the library of the Universe is here ... but their world is DEAD !! They are not GODS , they are our creators ... but not GOD ... DAVID looks at EVE , realising she is synthetic ... she suddenly understands DAVID , Weyland is Dead , David tells her .. she too is free .... The ALIEN from the ZEUS has followed the crew , it attacks what is left ... but EVE saves SHAW and DAVID ... and the ALIEN is destroyed ... The captain escapes too ... throwing a crew member into the path of the XENO-MORPH ... The captain gets back to the Ship ... he is alone ... he begins a transmission to home ... This is the captain of the ZEUS , star date .... I am transmitting to the Weyland Corp ... I am Mr YUTANI of the YUTANI CORP and I wish to discuss a proposition for the future of the Universe. Together we can build better worlds ...we have the knowledge and the power to succeed ... He walks into Scientiffic Officers EVE medical chamber .. he places the URN into a sterile chamber , where it freezes and goes into Cryo stasis ... ready for the long trip home ... In the Libray surrounded by the Engineers, DAVID, SHAW and EVE watch as the ZEUS departs ... EVE shrugs ... he has the URN and the power to create and destroy ... Our home , everything we know will be destroyed ... DAVID and SHAW together begin to laugh ... They point towards the derelict that they arrived in ... shall we catch a ride ? End of PROMETHEUS 2 PROMETHEUS 3 ... to be continued ... I know it dosen't finish anything ... but kind of throws some things in there ... I have more ideas for PROM 2 ... and I have ideas for PROM 3 ... that will finish where ALIEN begins ... quite like .. Star Wars episode 3 that lead to the number 4 ... Please watch PROMETHEUS ... take it as stand-alone mythology .. that will fit into the ALIEN Universe .. we have to support it no matter what ... remember Blade Runner was panned ... and now look how it is respected .. I am sure that PROMETHEUS too will be too in the fullness of time , as it is not an arrogant movie .. it is a thought provoking movie and is understood more on second and third watch even ... and no doubt when the Directors Cut is released ... We need PROMETHEUS 2 and PROMETHEUS 3 ... Panning and hating it .. will only spoil the party ... give it a chance .. it really is a very good movie ...
