Thots on prometheus and what could have been

hey guys... well after 2 showings of prometheus and alot of time to think about the movie. I can say that it really is a good movie not a masterpiece but a good movie non the less. All the problems have been posted so i will not go into them but what i will say the story had a lot of holes but maybe that was the hole point with a prometheus 2 answering all the old questions about ALIEN and the new questions left in prometheus. Anyway just a thot so not really any spoilers. I watched ALIEN the other night on Chanel 4 uk. And it got me thinking! did RS really have to go back intime? At the end of ALIEN ripley gos into cryogenic sleep then wakes up 50 years later and thats the start of ALIENS there could have been a story here. That would have ment that there didnt need to be a tie in to alien it could have been left alone and the fanboys couldnt compare prometheus to ALIEN this is where RS when wrong in my eyes tbh no film could live up to alien niver mind tie into it! Love to hear comments on this maybe add to it?? This is what i loved from prometheus! The way the engineers looked i thot they got this spot on personalty its the way i imagined them to be. The problem was we didn't see enough of them!! Another problem i felt was the spacecobra i liked the way it looked. But what was it? why did it attack and where did it go? The big head what was the meaning to this? was it the sacrifice engineer at the start? maybe he created the goo and tested it on him sell? also there was alot cut out this movie witch is a shame! I can only hope its in the blue ray! also i said it was RS fault but really i think he made it the way he wanted it to be made and FOX changed it the way they wanted it to look??
