MemberOvomorphJun-06-2012 2:29 AMJust saw the film,... what a boring soundtrack, does
not add ANYTHING. Everything is so accelerated, now I
understand why some people said the editing was so
poor (reminded me of LIFEFORCE: we see the ship,
everybody is in suits, they come out with stuff, BAM!
they are dying). They go in, they go out, go in go
out,... ajum! Extremely stupid plot and dialogue, but
this is a given since is founded in von Däniken
ridiculous ideas, and they turned the SJ into a
humanoid in a suit, courtesy of two cheesy writers and
one sell out.
As I have set my expectations so low, I was sure I was
going to at least have some fun. No dice.
Go watch District 9 again, buy Robot Chicken, cook
some bacon, anything... don´t waste your money on this
crappy movie and forget about the Blue Ray super-duper
ultimate director´s mega cut with extra gravy and
juggernaut model. Instead let´s join forces and create
the "I WANT LINDELOF AND SPAIHTS OUT OF THE MOVIE INDUSTRY"
site. Ridley Scott for me has died as a filmaker.
Anyone right now with a Toaster can make awesome CGI,
just ask Troublemaker Studios, i.e.
Goodbye fellow members, signing off. Feel free to comment anything you like. See ya on the next "I cannot believe my ears" proverbial Sci-Fi movie buzz (probably another classic remake, meh!).

Well, maybe it was the sour taste of what I just witnessed,... but I still wanna read what you guys think after the movie is released in the States. So is just a goodbye for a little while... hehe.

MemberOvomorphJun-06-2012 3:26 AMAll I can say was that it certainly was a feast for the eyes at times, the soundtrack did absolutely nothing to enhance the experience. You are quite correct in your accessment of the dialogue, though I would say that the plot had potential in the hands of a more competent writer. Having really been witness to so little conversation between the characters, there was no reason to even care let alone have any empathy for any of them.

Just seen it last night and today feels like I woke up from a bad dream. I still cant believe how terrible it was :(
Is it just me or did the movie seem like a joke to anyone else? The CGI space jockey, squid and cheep looking xeno rip off were VERY poor and the creature designs themselves were boring and poorly done. I wasnt expecting anything to do with Alien and the creatures from those movies but the creatures themselves and the CGI animation for them in Prometheus are TERRIBLE in Comparison.
The whole movie felt RUSH RUSH RUSH...leaving more questions than answers(not in a good way)...infact, I dont think it gave ANY answers at all :(
The scenes had no impact...no feeling to them....felt very rushed and didnt give an explanation so what was the point? The movie BLATANTLY needed to be another hour or two longer for it to work(and scrap the terrible creature designer and CGI)
The environments and ship etc were absolutely stunning though and the 3D was great. David was excellent and Shaw and Vickers were OK too...but STILL not enough time was given to flesh them out so they suffered for it.
Just a terrible movie with an empty, rush rush feel to it.
But for some strange reason, theres still something I like about it.
It has HUGE potential but because it was rushed so much, it completely failed.
It feels like Im in shock lol...I felt numb leaving the cinema.
Rant over. I'll be back to see how our US friends receive this movie then I'll be outa here. It was fun while it lasted :)
