Huge changes between trailer and final film

Hi, hey, ¿What happened between what we saw on trailers and what we saw on the movie? Young Weyland going out with mercs in the same moment as Fifield shows: [IMG]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b74/Kapital21/Dibujoxxx.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://www.prometheusforum.net/uploads/FileUpload/8e/6639d9f0b625157f4ff20320dc51dd.png[/IMG] In the final movie you didn´t see how he left the ship. Shaw was on the car in the trailers and she was the one that kills Fifield: [IMG]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b74/Kapital21/Dibujoadsf.jpg[/IMG] In the movie is a merc the one who kill Fifield: [IMG]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b74/Kapital21/Dibujob.jpg[/IMG] And then you can see that merc going out with the car to a unknown place: [IMG]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b74/Kapital21/Dibujoxx.jpg[/IMG] I think that Ridley made huge changes on the plot because when Fifield show, Shaw, Weyland and a merc are not in that place. Strange movie... at all. Rapace does this "self-operation", goes to the other room, she is full of blood, and then she talks kind of "relaxed" with old weyland and stuff staying bored around and it seems they will have a fine afternoon and a cup of tee.. STUPID.. Noone interested what happend to here, where this blood comes from. And eveyone seems to "know" that weyland is on the ship - except her. Dumb, dumb, dumb Plot.

Well sometimes movies show scenes in Trailers that never make it into the movie... The Predators Trailer was a great example... when the group of humans end up getting 3-4 Predator Red Dots from their Plasma Casters aimed at them... This never happened in the movie..... Hm. I just can't help wonder how many years we'll have to wait before we get the full and complete story of what happened, here? I would geuss that there's Option 1]: Editing exactly the film you had in mind to make - and your product of that. And then there is, for whatever reasons, an Option 2]; which could be using Editing to make a slightly different film than the one you had in mind to make when you filmed it - possibly combined with un-ordinary things like re-shoots but perhaps including extra-oridnary things like quite large and fundamental chops and changes to the story, the plot and who is where, when and why and whatever....and your product of that. I'd guess that any product of, Option 2], [regardless of whether the reasons are ill, or well-advised] tends, somehow, to show signs of the joins...

They make cuts like that to sell the 'extended version' dvd's & blu rays when they go on the market. Also they do it in hopes that fans would rather purchase the blu ray or dvd with the full uncut movie when it is available instead of a pirated & chopped up theatrical cut.

2013 sci-fi horror novels 'Custodian' and 'Tandem' available from Amazon, B&N, iTunes etc...

This image cropped up before the Cuddles grown up one... I dont know where it came from originally.... Maybe from a Test Screening which could mean they filmed a few different end scenes..... Again no doubt we will see such on DVD/Blu-Ray to bump up sales... I do feel that some stuff may be cut due to the movie only having a running time of just over 2 hours....

This is very common in movies as the trailers are released long before final cuts, and in some cases before the movie is even finished filming.

some other changes -there is not the "you are smiling " scene -there is no shaw praying scene -"its an invitation" ....totally different camera work here i think we will have our 3 hours version on DVD .... :p

Some 30 minutes of the Movie was edited out. This probably will make it into a Director's Cut DVD / Blue Ray Collection. Still buying it though. ^~^
