The link to Alien

It must be said, it is getting very frustrating with the lack of imagination that some fans have between the link to Alien and Prometheus. Everyone seems to have wanted it on a plate. How about this for a suggestion. The Prometheus crew witnessed a hologram of the engineers escaping from whatever they were running from. You see a number of them make the gate before the last one gets decapitated. In the installation we see a load of engineers piled up with their chests showing internal injury. What’s not to say that one of the engineers that managed to escape made it to his spacecraft. Unbeknown to him he was also infected like the rest of the engineers found at the installation. Took off from the base. Whilst fleeing/returning home the alien starts to egress from his chest, as a result crashing on LV-426. He manages to send the warning signal. This signal is picked up years later by the crew of the Nostromo. The alien that left this engineer gave birth to the eggs which are subsequently found in the ‘derelict’. Kane and Ripley here we come. Does this explanation saisfy those that don’t get the link between the two films. My work here in done
