RS has pulled a blinder

But is not that what Ridley Scott wanted to achieve? What’s the point making a film walking out and saying, Wow that was epic, or that wasn’t very good, and then not pondering over it.
What he has done is gotten people thinking about what was going on. Now let’s get to basics. Ridley Scott is a great director, but we seem to forgot that this is his career, not a freebie hobby.
Like everyone else he needs to make himself and the studio money. Is not that what he is doing?
So what’s best. Make a film that everyone goes, ‘Yeah cheers for that’ off to watch something else next week. Or make a film that’s going to make you return and spend more of your hard earned coin and go back to see the next instalment.
Sorry but RS has been very shrewd in leaving us with questions, just as much as Blade Runner did with whether Deckard was a replicant or not.
Plus, no matter how good or bad people find this film I will guarantee that we will all return like kids following the piped piper for a follow up.
But it has left us all with a lot of ‘Who, What, When, Where, and Why’ I certainly don’t remember coming away with so many questions form any of the AvP films (Which I feel is a daft comparison) or any other film I have watched recently.
We will be discussing this for some time, and certainly much longer than any of its predecessors.
