Sort of a side note to my post on the Engineers earlier... I'll just sum it up and leave it to you, as I thought it was completely explicit. 1. Exposure causes mutation. 2. Ingestion causes decomposition. Go!

God damned, my movie ticket for tonight turned black! (no kiddin) I am quite sure it was not like that when I purchased. My theory is some vitamins I have in my drawer where in the same place and might have made a chemical reaction, or BLACK GOO haha

Ingestion causes decomposition? Do you mean fifield and holloway - I would say they were mutating not decomposing? Who decomposes?

Fifield may have been reanimated by the black goo after he died when his helmet melted to his face..... thoughts?

I think the black liquid creates a different transformation, that depends upon the taker: > When a MAGGOT takes it, they become a TENTACLE BEAST > When a HUMAN takes it, they become a 'mutated' ENGINEER > When an ENGINEER takes it (or the bubbling liquid in the opening scene), they disintigrate into the BLACK LIQUID (ie: DNA fragments) So my guess is that the opening scene is EARTH (around the time of the dinosaurs) and that the ENGINEER transforms into the BLACK LIQUID which goes into the water. Perhaps when the FISH (or other animals/monkeys) drink this they transform into intelligent HUMANS. But if Holloway was mutating into an ENGINEER then why did he impregnate Shaw with a TENTACLE BEAST? That is where my theory breaks down (unless sperm also become tentacle beasts like maggots!) http://logansky.bandcamp.com

but why were their maggots there in the first place?? that alone would be a significant scientific discovery?? and if the maggots were there already why didn't the probes (pupps) pick them up??? oh flute
