David (who seems very at home in the 'pyramid by the way) Finds green goo on the wall of the corridor. It's viscous but still fluid, looks to be still teaming with life and isn't in the sealed 'sanctum' chamber. So, er... how and more to the point WHEN did that get there? It certainly would appear to have been be less than "2000 years ago, give or take." I get the impression that lots of plot devices which are confusing and irritating the audience have been quite consciously placed to intrigue us - and lay the ground for future revelations. Any thoughts? John alienage11.com

You wouldn't mind conscious puzzles and open questions if it were built on the base of a coherent script and clean editing. But with such a bad script and so many plot holes, its almost impossible to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Blah blah blah lah ^^^^^ Plot Holes..blah blah...bad script...Blah Blah....let me guess you can do better right??? As for the actual post....your imagination will have to do til RS has a sequel. I didn't really find it that important personally but still a good question. I was pleased by how everything went in the movie and I am curious what RS has in mind for a sequel with what he left for us to question in Prometheus.

Hi Bio, It seems to be the way to write great TV serials these days. Drop tantalising little nuggets here and there - to keep the viewer guessing. I never saw 'LOST' but I'm assuming the writer operates like that - and that he also likes to unfold a story in a very long format with cliffhangers throughout. John

Well everyone has a different view... Some may like the Lost style or Scripts... I do like the Mystrey and Ambiguity But there are some plot holes and elements that i think could have been done better.... See my thread Here One of the main holes, that i never liked and indeed Lost has a number like this is..... Ok Weyland wants David to find out what the stuff in those Urns does.. i think he wanted to use Holloway as a Guinea Pig and so to see what that Substance does to Holloway before trying it on Weyland... if it makes Holloway imortal then fine.... But all it did was lead to Holloways infected DNA make Shaw Pregnant when she cant have children... Sounds great and it is.... But then it seemed David may had been given orders after finding out Shaw was carrying a non Human Baby, to sedate her and get her and the Organism into Cryo Sleep or some other way they can optain said Organism... Great Plot no problems.... But then Shaw knocks down Ford and another person and escapes has the Baby removed and then ends up collapsing infront of David and Weyland. 1) Why does Ford not set off or Warn David off Shaws Escape... 2) And if they was knocked out still, they whey when Shaw fell on floor infront of David and Weyland did they not notice that she must have escaped being sedated and put in Cryo Sleep and that Shaw has removed the Organism.... Why did David and Weyland not seem concerned or want to know what Shaw did with this little Experiment that David had created.... This was for me a massive plot hole.... Those who dont agree, please feel free to explain why David and Weyland would carry on as if they never knew Shaw had any Organism inside her... and even if so why would they not question the stapples on her Stomach?

@ Big Dave Excellent points! Perhaps they saw her remove it on closed circuit - and were happy that it was safe? Yes - I'm making excuses.
