Any chance of a novelisation?

I don't know, but if any of the big names in Science Fiction adaptations were to do it, they'd probably be very tempted to try to improve the dialogue and seriously flesh out the characters. I know [b][i]I[/i][/b] would be.

I think that'd be good alright. Having said that, A.D.Foster tried to flesh-out the characters in the first 10 pages or so of the ALIEN one, and bored me to tears!

I don't know many science fiction writers. Alan Dean Foster did pretty well, but I would prefer to see a fresh face this time. Prefferably someone who leaves the fluttery, artsy fartsy style of writing behind and uses some common sense.

How about a comic?

Funny I just asked the question today in chat. I really like the little extras a novelisation brings, the inner thoughts of the characters. I hope one comes out soon.

I sincerely hope they do not release any novelizations. That would break the spell of misunderstanding, misguided attempts to think through the plot of the movie. I strongly suggest a petition request that there be no novelization.

I heard that a novelization IS in the works a month or two ago.

Hi ! Last week I sent several mails to some big publishers in Germany. They all wrote back they did not know about a prometheus film novel . I also wrote to Alan Dean Foster and to Ann C. Crispin (writer of novel Alien-Resurrection), but both replied that they were not involved. Now today I wrote to 20th Century Fox of Germany. Let´s see what they write back. The last time that I was so keen on reading a film novel was independence day 16 years ago. Any news up to now ?

That would be great and would give us more details on the Urns and the black goo and also more aspects about the motivations of the characters.
