Alien: Earth and Alien: Romulus sequel news

Lindleof spoiled it

Ridley Scott screwed up big time by hiring Lindleof. How is that a bunch of truck drivers from Nostromo show far more intelligence and resourcefulness than a ship full scientists, security and corporate professionals and with the world’s greatest genius on board? Of all people the geologist gets lost, the biologist gets bitten, the archaeologist cannot decipher etc. And you must be Noah to get drunk and copulate in the face of God? And what’s with the background music? It’s not raiders of lost ark. However it has great visuals and a great concept but all spoiled by bad writing. My speculation is that Vickers is not dead. Somehow she survives. Weyland survives too or is reanimated. The reanimated Weyland will be younger and stronger. So in LV223 we’ll have Vickers, Weyland and the Xeno. Shaw and David heading to SJ’s homeworld. Weyland heading to Earth.

Thank you for the comment about the music...I DEFINITELY agree. This movie's soundtrack was just waaaaaay too "majestic". It has NONE of the dissonance that made the Original ST for Aliens so special, and such an integral part of the film. Here, you could take away the soundtrack (save for all the "accent" cues) and you wouldn't miss a thing, sadly... A HORRIBLY misplaced soundtrack. The other stuff seems silly, too, but I went in for entertainment, not for a treatise on how to explore another planet safely...

Yes, I thought that too - the music was really terrible. You lost me totally on all the wild speculation on who survives: Vickers? The woman got crushed by a giant falling alien spaceship - and Weyland practically got his old head clubbed into the upper tier and then his feeble body would have been bounced around the inside of that alien ship like a billiard ball as it crashed...,,,. but, I guess, "SOMEHOW", they survive?... And you want to talk about it not being a "Raiders"? Come on.

Shaw was crushed too but she survived. I meant Weyland is reanimated by the black goo. Otherwise it's waste of talent to get a young actor to play such an old man. Furthermore what is the Xeno going to do on LV223 all by itself? No point showing the birth unless it leads to something. Furthermore Lindleof keep talking about incestuous relationship in one of his interview. And he also talks about establishing multiple branches of the original alien story.

What? Shaw was not crushed - that's the point, she was not crushed, that's why she survived? When we plainly see Vickers get rolled on there is no handy little crop of rock around for her to duck next to - which is why she's dead.
