Alien got crappy review when it came out. In Norway it scored 1 and 2 stars out of 6. It also got trashed in US and UK media. Vanity referred to it as "an empty bag of tricks".
Prometheus has gotten good reviews.

Reviews mean everything of course, this is Art we are discussing remember. Not who is in who's pocket.

@Merc7...its REALLY hard to take you seriously as a critic when you advertise the BIGGEST failure/embarassment of the entire alien franchise as your image.

brilliant LMAO.....so true though.
Asides, Alien scared the shit out of folk in its preview showing in Dallas iirc, even one usher fainted when the chest burster scene came on.
The only problem comparing both for me is, Alien was a fresh approach back in the 70's as a landmark movie, Prometheus-as much as it shares its DNA, is something we all waitied long for, but has become something we are genre accustomed too. I think I may have fekked that up in translation to what I actually wanted to say.

Don't blame me. I didn't write the f*****g article. I merely presented something I thought you guys would find interesting.

Prometheus is not even in the same league as Alien.
That is like comparing Battlefield Earth to Terminator.
