Is there ANY possibility that P.2 is already filmed and secretly IN THE CAN, awaiting release??? Any???

You know, I would not doubt that perhaps like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, they might have filmed in conjunction with Prometheus...but I guess we have to wait till October to see what happens now....

Sure is WAYY too carefully orchestrated to think that NOTHING is coming out pretty soon...heck, the director and writers are talking about sequels like they already exist, kinda... Hmm....

I bet they already have the ground work and concept art done. They probably wrote this story as one...there was so much in Prometheus within that 2 hour period, they could not fit it all. I loved Prometheus and I knew going into the film, this was but a crack in the door and we were meant to ask questions about many things... I am excited they are keeping this viral campaign alive and going. All this was planned out like you said..so now, we have and probably will see more things coming out on the viral sites and for the big event in October...

Totally agree, TheDude...they KNEW they had a hit when this thing first started up, and they gave RS a blank check...I virtually GUARANTEE you we'll see "rapid fire", keep up the interest sequels similar to "Harry Potter" and "LoTR"... Our whole family, which is composed of NON-Alien fanboys (except me) and my group of friends LOVED P.1 from beginning to end. NONE of them got up ONE TIME and all were riveted and clenched and completely enveloped by the film on the IMAX screen (and sound!)... I haven't been this moved and in love with a movie experience (the WHOLE thing, from following the teasers, to the viral sites, to the fan sites, to the actual theater experience and the community and the sequels) EVER...seriously...EVER... This whole franchise is gonna be huge, and "haters gonna hate", esp. since they didn't get AvP3 or Aliens 2 or some brainless action movie that they wanted. I LOVE that this film makes us all think, ruminate, and ask more questions, not just about the film, but "What if?"---What IF we were "given" to this earth? What IF we were just playthings for our own "Engineers"? Of course the zealots HATE those thoughts, as it challenges their beliefs, but, THAT is what art does! THAT is why this is a GREAT film, and a masterpiece even, despite the sometimes faulty script...

I do know October is the month the dvd is released. Not sure the exact date, though. Gonna go watch the vid.

I bet October 11, lol...I can see that happening. There is so much story that will see new light. What we saw in Prometheus was just the tip of the iceberg. I guess that's why people are upset, they want their cake and ice cream too but Scott said no, you have to have your veggies first, then I'll give you ice cream cake..lol...this is awesome!

If Prometheus is the veggies we are all going to be some fat basterds after desert!

In rewatching that video, Guy Pearce is SO much better than he showed in P.1---would've loved if they just left off the stupid prosthetics and attribute his youthful appearance to "plastic surgery" or something.

Really depends on where they are going with the Prometheus 2... You see if Ridley wanted to start Prometheus 2 right away, then it would make sence to have covered some of it already, than to start filming in 12 months and then have to remake certain things that could be re-used i.e like the Orrey Room of the Derelict. Dont forget the hints given apear that Ridley all ready knows which ending he is going to follow... And we have to wonder what movies has Fassbender and Rapace been involved in since finishing Prometheus? Surely they could have done some scenes for Prometheus 2.... and also if they are to explore the Engineers in more depth, well they could do that with the same Actor you can have one actor play the part of more than one being.... if they all look the same.[quote][/quote]

@BigDave: pretty clear we're heading to the engineer homeworld, unless Noomi get's intercepted, or something...but, you only have 2 actors to have to deal with, continuity wise, from here on, so it'll be a bit simpler... So many possibilities...Fox/RS and this viral campaign is blowing our minds. What a gift! They do not have to do any of this---so we need to appreciate it and relish it!

Got the same email from weyland read some of the stuff on project genesis implies shaw knew about the urns and the jockies WTF!!!!!!!! I'm going in to hibernation til October or my brain is gonna be pickled Got to think tho how hard it would be for a studio to keep it under wraps if the sequel has already been filmed but on the same note why go to all the trouble mind fucking us for a DVD release ?????? "Also Sprach Zaratustra" is, in general (and IMHO), about overcoming human weaknesses (one of them is so-called morality) and becoming something/someone more significant and stronger, but, in terms of judeo-christian point of view, something more primitive than humanity (I mean, more connected to our animal roots and instintcs BUT with all the knowledge and development we've achieved so far). It's hard to say this in a few words, but... David8 AND Xeno seem to me as two sides of the same, nietzschezan, coin (not to mention Roy Batty, of course) . AND the connection to 2001 soundtrack ("Also Sprach Zaratustra" by Richard Strauss) is quite obvious. Geez, so much to think about. But I love having this state of mind :P

Could you imagine if they've already filmed the second part and kept it a secret this whole time?! If you remember from when Ridley Scott originally talked about wanting to film an Alien prequel (a few years ago), the intention was to make it two films - http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2010/apr/27/ridley-scott-alien-prequels-3d Regardless, it's fun to speculate!!
