Showing crew that would all be highly educated and disciplined professionals as loose cannons and strong personalities is not Realistic. A little controvery between crew members is inevitable as they are human but showing crew members "drinking" and mouthing off (the geologist) detracts from the realism of the story and film. The crew as a team is up against tremendous difficulty as it is.. not necessary to have so much dissension.

I know PLENTY of professional people in real life that love to drink and many of them are loose cannons too.

I disagree....as there are many examples of highly educated professionals who could be considered as loose cannon's having strong personalities if you searc h throughout history. You have to keep in mind that the environment on the prometheus was a semi-professional (loose) atmosphere and not a coporate board room or office building with cubicles

@Simon Same... Just because you have a degree doesn't make you less of a person and less likely to have a meltdown, when placed in a stressful situation.

I tend to agree with Blue Gen on this one. Sure, board rooms can be wide open, but I think more along the line of the International Space Station... Can you imagine them as loose cannons boozing it up? ... not likely.
