SHUT EARTH DOWN

I just can't get on board with the theory of the Space Jockey going to earth in response to humans being a catalyst for bad stuffs. Why dump the black goo on Earth full of humans if Humans + Black Goo infection = Really bad stuff Space Jockeys want to prevent? Good point to bring up though! Thanks for the post :)

Um, I think the various organisms on LV-223 is enough to kill engineers by themselves. Also, the creature you speak of would probably try to kill/impregnate ANYTHING.

my take... The captain told the doc that this was a testing ground and the Engineers knew better than to test this stuff on their home planet. There are multiple ships there that could possibly be for different worlds that they have seeded with DNA. So I think when we show up proving that we have the technical know how it is their signal to go to the planet from who ever shows up and unleash the bio-weapon to see how well it works. We were just guinea pigs. and the reason they do not come sooner is because whoever they are in battle with (maybe predator type species) is technologically advanced and to unleash such a weapon on the primitive human would be a waste.

@ XenoGuard...you only know what the goo will doo after the fact. I dont hink they expected it to doo so well on earth. Earth was a great place to launch this life force on and it is my beleif that that is why the engineer imploded when he drank it. It overwhlemed him..is my take...my friend @thegg...yes to your commenting. Remember, you go to control the outcomes of the goo or you are not the goo god anymore. I think they were always expereimenting with this stuff not knowing what would happen...In the end, the good and its new life prevailed...ALIEN...whoa @Mohawk..good input and I like the thought process..I will say this. When epxerimenting with pwoerful things, isoloatiuon is mandatory. this stuff is the most unstable unpredicatble item anyone has ever seen. Perhaps the enigneers where looking for a way to control it and then do what they wanted with it and it ended up doing them as the move proves out
