Acid for spit becomes acid for sweat?

MemberOvomorphJune 10, 20121545 Views4 Replies... did the original ALIEN (1979) the one we rarely see, only in strobe, and only as he seems to be slithering or dissolving through walls (this was the distinct impression I got, the way it was filmed) that this alien that was born out of a human chest....
Did the 'grown up' alien have ACID FOR SWEAT or some sort of ACIDIC SURFACE SECRETION enabling him to effectively slither and mutate his never fixed body shape through walls.
I know it might only be the impression I got, thanks to Scott not SHOWING the monster all the time, but this is one of the reason I so disliked the way Aliens [i]BROKE THE MYTHOS[/i] because they were 'clearly' just 'blokes in costumes', where as the original alien was some sort of EXTRA-ABILITIES freak of acid nature.
