Prometheus is a combination of some of the best and some of the worst in the sci-fi genre and in the Ridley Scott filmography. When it comes to acting, the sterling performance by Michael Fassbender shares screen time with an awful performance by Guy Pearce, in a character that seems tailor made for The Simpson's Mister Burns (expect a Simpsons Prometheus special soon) The razzies are known for awarding their worst acting trophy to legendary thespians like Orson Welles and Lawrence Olivier, so I don't think a wonderful actor like Guy Pearce who just happened to have such a horrendous turn will be immune to the Razzies attentions. Anyway, he has my vote already.

There was a scene cut from the movie with a young Peter Weyland (Guy Pierce). Pierce's TED Prometheus Viral video is superb acting although it not in the film it is part of the film. I respectfully disagree with your nomination.

I think Adam Sandler has new film coming out next week so I am pretty sure he is going to win in every category by a landslide.

Razzies???? Wow...not even close. I'm pretty critical of the mechanics of filmmaking, and I have no idea why you singled Guy's performance out. There were some tremendous flaws in the film, using makeup instead of getting an elderly actor for example, but I thought he did fine with what he was given.

I thought his acting was just fine, and his skin had a very age-mottled appearance. He just didn't look as gaunt as you'd expect someone of that age to appear. On the other hand, the story does clearly illustrate that medicine has made significant advances. Not a huge issue for me, at least.

He was 103 for crying out loud. Are there some great 103 year old actors just walking around Hollywood? Guy Pierce is awesome, but I think they are going to do more with the young Peter Weyland in the future.

To me his acting was terrible, and I am not talking about the make up. The Godfather type of music didn't help though.
