Some interesting bits, and worth reading. Note however, that, as far as content is concerned. Fraser is only slightly more reputable than Van Daniken. Any symbol is multivalent, and any sufficiently complex string of symbols can be made to fit a pre-existing pattern.

I dig his article and agree on a lot of points. I'm not in 100% agreement on the Jesus alien but I get what he is saying on humans aren't being very good to each other and here is an example.

Agreed! I love the breakdown this article gives of various scenes in Prometheus. Never realized there was such vast mythological and religious connection. o_O

*Everything* can be linked into a myth. That's why they're myths. Myths are a culture's way of thinking about things. They create the patterns that tell people how to think. (Equally important, they also constrain people from thinking in new ways).
When you take bits from myths from many different sources with no regard for their cultural context, it's easy to fit them into whatever "pattern" you're seeking to impose.
