From a real fan...

Dear whoever decided this was a good idea... oh 'Prometheus'... i don't even know where to begin with this... of all the things i should be pissed off about that... that 'movie'... i find i'm far more disappointed in it then all else... i could have accepted the 'Engineers', if they were their own species and not the 'Pilots', i could have accepted the gooey retro-zombie-enchancement virus thingy the 'Engineers' were making... if it weren't for the last 4mins of the goddamn movie... i could have accepted a lot of things, but no, they failed... they took something amazing, a chance to explore beyond one facet of that universe and instead tripped head first right before the finish line... as in breaking nose, spine, and anything necessary to 'living' while scooting within a millimeter of said finish-line... i'm appalled and disappointed that Ridley let 'THIS' slide... as the 'new' ALIEN... really?? the acting, great, particularly loved Lisbeth's one moment of awesome, too bad that was the ONLY moment her character had, along with Chalice Theron, god can that woman play crazies so well... visually it was beautiful and worked well in finding that grundgy niche that the ALIEN universe has in SciFi mixed with the level of tech... but that's it... they tried SO HARD to NOT make this a revamp of ALIEN that they went the circular extreme route and ended up doing that... only FAILING miserably, breaking face at the finish line... this is what happens when goddamn trekies fucking write ANYTHING dealing with the ALIEN universe, its a travesty of pretty words and insubstantial fluff... ALIEN IS NOT FLUFFY!! this is not fucking Star Trek... there is no hot captain that always wins, no confomist alien, no bickering romantic interests, this bloody fucking survival in the cold void of space, where if the Xeno doesn't efficiently hunt you down and murder you one of two ways, your human companions will by doing something treacherous and worse all for money... we got half of that... AND THAT'S ALL... fail, just epic fail... i pray they don't make another one trying to bridge the series' with some bullshit trekie magic, and for all that is holy will they get that dude that wrote lost AWAY from my beloved fandom, he already pissed off any REAL ALIEN fans with this, stay the fuck away and let us salvage our REAL canon... PILOTS ARE NOT THE FUCKING ENGINEERS... they are evil, yes, bigger then that, ancient, far more advanced technology AND FUCKING BLOW YOU UP WITH THEIR MINDS!! not to mention NOT HUMAN!! go fuck yourself you hollywood hack... and if you ever touch a fandom again DO SOME FUCKING RESEARCH... you've ruined enough by completely ignoring your facts... and what's worse, they made ALIEN 'common', they took what was one of the most visually spectacular feats of monster history and made it a cheap B-movie monster-flick... i don't care how much CGI you have, if the design is wholly terrible, unoriginal, and completely UNINSPIRING of fear and horror, don't do it... leave it out of the perfectly well established mythos... and the characters, i give the actors praise yes, but they basically made each one just 'common' normal bloody people with little quirks about them other then their 'looks'... they made ALIEN common and that's really the worst part... if you are part of the prurient masses and don't give a damn about the actual canon, go ahead, enjoy, i'm so glad you can join the majority and its dumbing down of true art and creativity... no matter how pretty it is, tofu is still tofu... thanks for the complete disregard of previous ideas, mythos, canons that have been established for YEARS, DECADES in fact and throwing it out the window... this entire film, while pretty, is just an insult to real fans of the series, just like AVP... good job on failing yet again... I hope whoever reads this complains, because that means you care enough to do so, and trust me, i have the might of all the REAL canon backing me up, so yea... bring it... Sincerely, a REAL fan...
