What if in prometheus sequel we see the engineers doing this....re igniting our sun...testing quantum weapons..

All I can say is....using that kind of thinking Engineers would have life expectancies in terms of billions of earth years. Given their DNA structure appears to be mostly human it is doubtful. Unless we give Engineers the ability for time travel, but no evidence of that so far because why have a stasis machine for long-term space travel when you can do time travel.
Genesis is a nice story, however all scientific evidence points at the formation of our solar system at the end of the big bang. So our little planet Earth sits on the edge of this milky way galaxy is just hurtling thru space until it collides with another galaxy and our tiny little sun will burn out before then and this will be a cold dark place with lots of burn marks on it. So the beginning and end are much the same in essence and the little blip of time between the two end points, that is time we have to figure out how to survive in the universe as a whole. If we work hard learn how the physics of the universe really works we have a chance as a species to move on. If we fail, we end up like the dinosaurs buried bones returned to dust yet another failed species in the universe. Modern man has had about 40,000 years to get where we are now in our understanding of how the universe works, we may need to pick up the pace a bit if we plan to make it off this planet and avoid its final moments.

Genesis also talks about the Nephilim.A race of giants that are the offspring of fallen angels and man.
And check out revelations. Not tryin to convert anyone so relax.
Just a lot af similaritys here.
Revelation 12:7 A war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fought against the Dragon. The Dragon and his angels fought back but he was defeated. And there was no place left for them in heaven...
Revelation 12:13 And when the Dragon found he was cast to the earth he pursued the woman who gave birth to the man child...
Revelation 12:17 Then the Dragon became furious with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed....
Look closely at the Xeno mural in the temple. Notice the wings.
In Alien 3 the Xeno is referred to as the Dragon.
Could this be the answer to Shaws question "why do you hate us, why do you want to kill us?"
Are the original Xenos fallen Angels still jealous and furious at their Creators beloved creation man. Is this why they were sending a deadly cargo to earth 2000 years ago?Are the engineers worshipers of the beast, doing the will of their God?

I think you are right about the Nephilim.
Also, indeed their was a war in heaven...over '-Satan creating un natural creatures....
But don't you think it's odd that it says that the earth was created before the sun after all we need the the sun for gravity, also after it say the sun was created ..it talks about night and day and the seasons.
What if the engineers used our solar system as blasting site ...like in the Nevada desert where they used to test nukes....they used it for quantam weapons firstly and
then for bio weapons..... hence fort a war brokje out because these weapons were considered to powerfull and terrible for anyone to possess ....that's what the gooo was doing on l.v 224....
Waiting to degrade into harmless black sludge....
Another? Is if the black goo re sequences d.n.a does that mean it's alive

Maybe the assemblers of the Bible altered the original story to place the earth at the centre of their known universe? Humans are then the focus of all God's creation.
@Revelation ...
Maybe the Dragon wanted to create a race based on his/its DNA (physical characteristics and intellectual capabilities) without the knowledge of good and evil? As soon as Adam and Eve eat that 'expletive deleted' apple they realise they're naked - they know shame. Shaw of course shows that she knows shame no longer (walking into the meeting room naked) and has picked up a few xeno characteristics (strength, violence, imperviousness to pain, indifference to consequences of actions).
When you've got a film blending Christianity (at least the Christian beliefs of its protagonist) with Greek myth and Sumerian legend that doesn't reveal its own underlying message or thrust you've got a recipe for a flawed masterpiece and a sequel.
