The goo that was used by the sacrificial engineer is the original goo that was designed to start life or to accelerate evolution of existing life. The goo that was found by the Prometheus crew is an experimental bio-weapon version of the goo that is specifically designed to turn living things into destructive monsters. Why is everyone assuming that the two gees (yes, the plural of goo is gees :-) are the same?
