ok, so this is what i think & predict .. few things dont quite fit but im sure it time it will become clear. Basically David is the key the 'Alien' (xenomorph) outbreak. The Engineers use the planet from prometheus to seed & destroy new life on planets using the Urns from the cargo hold in the ship. It was from within these urns that David removes the green slimy vial and infects Holloway. He then impregnates Shaw and she goes on to obviously cut it out. But, the squid thing grows and 'face-hugs' the engineer, leading to the 'Alien' chest bust at the end. This is the first Queen, which literally goes into hiding on one of the dormant ships laying eggs. The Engineer on this ship then awakes, unknowing that he is carrying alien egg cargo. he gets face hugged in transit and crashes on LV-426, but not before sending a message to -'stay the buck away'. this is when the film Alien kicks off from its the cross splicing of human DNA , to seed, to creature, to engineer that is the reason of 'Alien which can reproduce' . A hole in this theory tho is the mural on the wall in the ship showing what looks like an alien. so the engineers are aware of them, but i think the cross mutation which david kicks off, is a cue to the first female 'queen' rather than sexless 'soldiers' as david says right before infecting holloway - 'big things have small beginnings' The engineers are clearly experts in bio-weaponry on a cellular level but don't expect our meddling...Weyland must be loosely aware of this by the time of first alien film as they are after the organism with the secret message to the on-board android - 'all crew expendable' one thing i cant make fit is why they give us a map to this 'seeding' planet. i think the next film will explore shaw & david on their trip onwards in the engineer craft, but it will flash back to this planet showing what iv just said..much like it did at the end of prometheus with the 'chest burst scene' more 'evidence' for this within the online weyland website it says david runs on 'elxr' this is the same as the Norse God mythic life giving liquid & i think the name 'prometheus' - the greek god who stole fire to give to the mortals referes to David himself. seeing as he 'stole' the goopy bio liquid and 'gave it' to the world through infecting holloway

You're theory is interesting, however there's a problem. The Queen Alien doesn't exist in the original ALIEN script written by Dan O'Bannon in 1976. The lifecycle of the creature is explicitly explained as an asexual reproducing creature who uses spores (the black goo) to genetically alter another creatures' DNA and mutating them into the eggs we see in ALIEN. Proof of this is in the Special Edition of ALIEN from 2003 where Ripley runs into a room on the Nostromo and discovers Dallas and Brett cocooned to the wall, and Brett is already halfway to becoming an egg, and the petals of one are already forming around Dallas. This is further supported in the original script I mentioned from O'Bannon in 1976. The egg in the lifecycle was originally supposed to be an Urn as well and the facehugger was a squidlike/tentacled monster. It wasn't until Giger came in that things slightly changed. Everything else you stated I can see happening though.

yea dude, i rewatched that scene. defo some egg morphing action going on. and yes the alien 'queen' was added by cameron, but it's taken shape now and needs to be explored, i have a feeling from original art works etc that gender and sex play vital roles in the next phase of creature [i]evolution[/i] rather than mere reproduction (like the original xeno lifecyle). Or not, in fact the more i think about it the more it makes sense to keep exploring the engineers and their history. and besides they mention that the original space jockey is fossilised thereby not matching chronologically. facepalm.
