What was david wrong about

This seems to be a common theory of many, that the prometheus story involves a yet unidentified being that the engineers act on behalf of, would be interesting to find out and would make sense about why it (the engineer) treated the crew so unkindly.

I learned a lot reading this forum and, yes, the idea that there is another race involved is one of those ideas. I am also fascinated with why the engineer went berserk and after crashing, he came after Shaw with murderous intent. That seemed very personal to me or very least a very strong emotional response from the engineer. She was marooned and likely doomed to die with no resources. He had to know that but he was intent on killing her with his bare hands. I don't think it was anything David said based on what I read including the interview with Fassbender who seemed to know what was said.

He was wrong about them being a superior race anyway. I think he may have realised their true origins. And that the real rulers of LV-223 are not yet seen. As for why go after Shaw? Well quite often the abused will become an abuser. Cannot stand a reflection of what it used to be.

I think he went after her to kill her for the obvious reason that if she was impregnated, whtever came out of her would kill him...He saw her running off remember? It bothered him then....Also, it was her successful escape from him that allowed her to tell the captain to ram the enigneer ship...He could be just getting even for that alone...
