No Proto-Xeno

Unbound

I was a little disappointed about the creature design, i.e. a trilobite from shaw ((that thing looked like it had NO human DNA whatsoever and they just needed something that they thought looked creepy and would be large enough to impregnate the engineer)) and the Deacon, which just looks incredibly lame, in my opinion ((like a fuggin muppet version of a Guillermo Del Toro flick mixed with the head of the sand snakes from beetleguice or something)). This franchise was one built on the unique-ness, complexity, and effectiveness of the creature design, and after dealing with the xenomorph for 30 years, you'd think they'd want everything else to look just as terrifying. Shoulda had Giger do everything. But I digress....
My whole point for posting this has to deal with the Deacon or what some people are referring to as the Proto-xeno. Check it out:
Timeline-wise, realize that the xeno and facehuggers we all know and love are already fully-formed and had been sitting on LV-246 for thousands of years by time Prometheus even takes place. So whatever the hell the Deacon is, it isn't a proto-xeno at all, as they already exist in their entirety on lv-246.... that's the only way I can not be mad about how ridiculously wack that thing looked. It isn't a xeno. It's something else that is newer... The worms didn't turn into facehuggers, and fifield didn't mutate into a xeno, so why would shaw's womb or holloway's sperm turn into something even slightly facehugger-y, which then would spawn some sort of muppet pointy headed keebler elf xeno? that was like a cop-out. but whatever. bring on the sequel. The deacon isn't supposed to be a xeno, or even a proto-xeno. there's no proto-anything in this movie whatsoever, hence the reason why they didn't wanna call it a prequel. there's nothing in this movie about how the xeno is created. anywhere. they even have a freakin mural of an already fully-formed xeno, which means they already had encountered it somewhere...... somewhere that didn't have anything to do with humans being infected by a small drop of goo and and having mutant squid babies which then happen to impregnate engineers.
