Hadley's HopeJune 21, 2012Possible as there are two types of ships, but remember there may be no mission to wipe us clean.
Think back to how this idea of Earth being wiped clean came to be in Shaw's mind.
It's from something David said which is very vague. If you notice, whenever David says something very simply and plainly he appears to be telling the truth. If his programming prevents him from lying, and he wants to, then his loophole would be to say something misleading, and vague, that from his knowledge of the listener, would cause them to assume something he hadn't actually said.
Shaw of course, being a believer, jumps to the conclusion of Armageddon as written in Revelations.
She never at any point says "What do you mean by that David?"... cos she's not as smart as she thinks she is.
An alternative intepretation of 'destrucion and creation' might be making one life from from another... eg. a tale we all know, but whose tag line is not so famous.
Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus is a novel written by Mary Shelley about a creature produced by an unorthodox scientific experiment.
From what we see of how well suited the inside of the tunnels are for humans, and that the Space Jockey can actually breathe outside in the more poisonous air. We can conclude that it's very likely the crew of Prometheus are not the first humans to visit LV 223. And perhaps these big grey guys are what became of those humans, altered over time to be a big slave worker Igor, sent to fetch more bodies for the lab every few thousand years, but to us, we think of them as the monsters.
