Prometheus review -- Vickers lives?

You seem to have missed quite a few subtle suggestions. That very symbolism is a bit of a chicken and egg, thing, but it should have sparked a question in the audience. Did we come from them or did they come from us? You dismiss the elongated skull as being set dressing, and the structure as being pointless, and the atmosphere being incredible coincidence. Have you thought what it would mean if the atmosphere was in fact DELIBERATELY manufactured to suit humans brought to the structure from Earth. Are you aware of a book commonly known by its short tile, whose long title includes 'a modern prometheus'. I think that might help explain the purpose of this facility inside a giant termite lab. [u]It is kind of silly that one of them is decapitated by a doorway, but hey, accidents happen. [/u] It may not have been accidental. He was behaving like he had something wrong with him. He may have been infected and the door slammed down on him was a quarantine procedure. (It also ties in with the whole bible reference LV 223 - Leviticus 22:3 - unclean, approaches altar, cut off)

I hadn't thought of that, so are these time travelling Engineers (or are they products of us in the future who have transported them back to the past, is that what you're saying? Or are you saying that the premise is that we were engineered as kind of a "crop" to be taken back to this planet, later to be harvested for bioweapons (xenomorphs, or worse)? Heeyyyy, I like it. I've seen a few sites that suggest this theory but they haven't really posed it as clearly. So far, I have been taking it from the premise that the backstory ties in with the legends of Annunaki and the Igigi-- basically our creators didn't agree whether humanity was worth saving or not. I don't think time travel was involved. I think they started taking humans 35,000 years ago, and modifying them to be worker drones (hence no need for body hair, or skin pigments, and the nipples barely exist) Useful for sacrifice, for hosting Xenomorphs, and for turning them into Xenomorphs. Ah, a great theory, and works pretty well within the bounds of the mythology they seem to be putting forth. I love it! Yeah, that skull under the dome thing was from Giger's original Alien designs, no? Pretty damn freaky.
