I love this movie btw and hi to all the fans at this site
I noticed in the composite drawing of the Prometheus there are 2 lifeboats on the ship, they are located on the back rear of the ship, they are across from each other.... With that said, perhaps the second life boat was ejected before impact. It appeared that the 1st lifeboat was damaged when it hit a pinnacle/large upright stone as it was landing and besides it has the large face-hugger hanging around in it and the Deacon... My thoughts are that maybe Vickers survived being crushed, she finds the 2nd lifeboat and follows Shaw... makes for a good partial plot for the sequel... If there is a sequel. Also I think Ridley Scott being 74 years young, it would stand to reason he has already filmed the sequel for Prometheus. I read somewhere that they filmed for 3 months in Spain, but non of that footage was in the film. Now if that is true, 3 months of filming?... None of it is in the Prometheus movie, then what did they film if it’s not the sequel?

and..that life boat is not capable of faster than life travel.
The only thing possible is that vickers gets into one of the life boats and begs a crew to come.
thats the only way THROUGH vickers I can see a sequel getting constructed

MemberOvomorphJun-22-2012 10:48 AMThx Richie, I can not download the picture of it, but you can see it the photo section on this site, there is 2 lifeboats, in fact I think Vickers was staying on 1 of them and old man Wayland was on the other one, hence no one new until his role was revealed... I think Wayland was on lifeboat 2

MemberOvomorphJun-22-2012 10:53 AMBluesfool, perhaps your right, besides I doubt if Vickers could fly it anyway, unless you have an autoflight computer on board.... I like to see a floor plan or technical drawing of both the Prometheus and the Juggernaut ship, maybe in a few days someone can find it and put it up on this site

Hopefully vickers found her end there on LV-223, i am happy that shaw and david may show us where they will go in the sequel.
Yes, maybe they aready shot it, and maybe it will follow the same poor script like the prequel - i would not be surprized at all, now that we all KNOW what prometheus is and what it is DEFINITELY NOT...

THat is a lot to ask of any lifeboat. It it was a miniature Prometheus,,capable of retracing it's mission path...well yes Vickers could follow Shaw/David....or even retrace the route back to Earth(as suggested in another post).
However any chance that some familiar humans could make it into the sequel..is OK with me..
I just don't want the future of Humans to depend on a 'droid getting his body /head back together and a alien 'host' that chooses to believe in..well what she chooses to believe..

MemberOvomorphJul-20-2012 12:37 PMDidn't it take two years to get to that planet... yeah, even if Vickers managed to survive that ship rolling onto her, then contacting a team to come out to her, SURELY two years, alone, without much food would be a tall order.

Vickers just might be focused enough to try to live off the land(no0t likely considering the nterrain)..or teaming up with any other Engineers left on that moon..and jointly heading to the home planet chasing Shaw/David

Exclusively designed for FTL crafts of a suitable size, this emergency sustaining pod is an embedded safety module comprised of 7 luxury-appointed rooms, complete with independent navigation and piloting controls. Reclaiming decontamination system allows one occupant 50 years of breathable air with or without hyper-sleep.
So if Vickers survived and can operate the lifeboat, perhaps she would be chasing down Shaw and David in a sequel....

NOw if you were a member of the crew..and came across this info..would still board and take on the mission?
Also just which crew members(and I include the Weyland clan) could actually use the 'Safety Module?
In fact looking over the description I might want it for a condo!
