HERE'S A GOOD ONE...WHY ONLY ONE DAVID?

It's simple, with 4 Davids they would have had to pack 4x as much hair dye, 4 bicycles, 4 basketball hoops, etc... it simply wasn't cost-effective to ship all that. XD But seriously... you're right, it seems like it would have been useful to have a few androids around during the mission. I guess I had assumed that the David we meet is Weyland's "personal" David, who serves as a replacement for the son he never had. He didn't own more than one because having more than one David running around would disrupt the illusion of him being Weyland's son. Unless there really WAS more than one David on the ship and we never knew it... because they were never in the same room together... *puts on tinfoil hat* :O

First, I laughed. then, pondered your most excellent response to my question and it led me to something Ridley was asked in an interview prior to release...are their robots and then he is quoted as saying...there could be more than one...I dont know how accurate that statement is....So, who can be the other robot?

Was just a joke from ridley scott ..... there is no realistic hint that there was more than one robot on the prometheus .

Frantz...when people are worshipping every word that comes out of Ridleys motuh, no joking is allowed...Plus the subject of another robot has a huge impact on the film....I agree that there is no one that qualifies for robot
