i have atleast 20 ideas with minor plots and titles to what i might eventually start writing into a story.
at the moment i am starting to write a story which shall be named "Gods Son"
which is that god created men like in the book but noticed that they were pure good. there was no evil to keep the balance and he then takes one of his sons and creates the devil. but how to make something pure good into pure evil. and this is a journey of my own how something like him could happen.
i am not religious or something. i just thought it was a great story to start with and have alot of twists i can put in. its weird to find a way to break something down and turn it evil. kinda like what palpetine did to anakin in star wars but much deeper.
i have another two ideas i am pitching at but this should be enough to start with.
what you think? and what are your ideas / storys your writing.....

Shaw and David find the planet of the designers of life.
There is a yet unknown, weird and superior intelligent species.
These creatures have another "logic" then humans and we are not able to understand what and why they are doing this or that.
Its like an ant trying to understand what a washingmashine is for - it can never understand, as ants dont wear clothes so they dont have to wash them.
The "engineers" are just clones, designed by improved DNA from hijacked people from earth to be their slaves/soldiers.
There was no deeper meaning in creating mankind, earth was some kind of "waste container for not needed DNA" and by accident / random life developed automatically / evolution. The designers of life come from another dimension / parallel universe, and this dimension is just some kind of "experimental laboratory" for them.
They dont have any goal, they simply DO THINGS, and thats what they did eternaly.
They have no start and no end. There is no good or bad. They show Shaw how limited her thinking is and that mankind is by random limited in imagination and works in a very limited intellectual way by "random" design.
They dont have any problem with shaw. They promise her paradise. In a ritual, all her negative emotions and traumata are taken away from her. She feels everlasting desireless happyness and meditates till the end of her life.
David is rebuild to a human being as thats what he desires most. But as he then feels like a human, he is not sure if that is what he really wanted.

Shaw and David arrive at the home planet of the creators where they can land without beeing discovered.
There they find huge weird laboratories where the aliens do horrible DNA experiments with creatures from different worlds. They find a "mankind"-department for experiments on hijacked people from earth.
Mankind is just some kind of guinea pig for the creators, thats why they seeded live on earth (like on many other planets), and it depended on the surrounding conditions, how life developed and which creatures survived the evolution process, so the creators have a big variety of guinea pigs from different planets.
Their work and plan is to design now lifeforms. The engineers were just one of these lifeforms, for the purpose of beeing warriors / executors for the creators.
The engineers were designed by the creators.
They were designed on the bases of DNA of hijacked people, but they have been improved to be strong and loyal warriors for the creators. They were the "executive", as the creators are no warriors, but some kind of alien scientists.
Thats why the engineers share the same DNA with mankind.
Some engineers developed long ago sympathy for mankind, as they come from mankind.
They visited mankind several times and were in friendship with shamans and spiritual leaders in some ancient civilizations on earth. They told them also where they come from, and the visited people documented that in cavepaintings.
That were no invitations at all, just some kind of historical documentation.
The engineers visited mankind once again 2000 years ago.
But one of them was crucified by mankind, who turned over to be more and more aggressive and started in the art of war.
That made the engineers very angry, so they decided to kill mankind, or better said, to change earth into a large DNA laboratory by bringing the black goo to earth.
But they were not able to do it, as they were attacked on LV-223 by their own Beast/Alien-like creatures by accident, and only one survived the attack in hypersleep.
Shaw and David can save some of the people on the homeplanet / DNA laboratory of the creators and leave the planet with the vessel.

I like your idea. Have you read "Paradise Lost" by John Milton (I think that's him haha) or "The Mysterious Stranger" by Mark Twain? If not, I suggest you read Twain's all the way through, and at least check out the spark notes of "Paradise Lost" (it can be a challenging read, but if you're up for it, by all means...). They're sure to further inspire you and perhaps allow you to take your story to the next level.
Satan / Lucifer / The King of Lies / The Prince of Darkness / The Devil despises man kind for our inferiority and believes he'd make a much better ruler of Earth. The idea of God Hannibal-Lector mind-screwing the devil into thinking these things is an incredibly interesting idea. I like it!

first off i love rocks. you double posted and i meant other stories than ones that are part of prometheus. nice idea with them but i actuall meant things that are created from others , like my story example.
thanks weweresowrong...haven´t read paradise lost yet but i will and the twains books. sounds interesting and will look them up.
i think aswell the idea of god actually being the one making him to what he is pretty deep and nice way to twist things.....
of course writing is something i need to learn since putting in dialogues and keeping things interesting is whats difficult.
i even have two other stories. one of a guy who loses his family and kills himself landing in purgetory only to fight himself back out again. it would be a 4 part small story about going from purgetory, to hell, back to earth reborn just so he can recollect what he has done to go to heaven....
and another one is about earth itself that is a dust planet (dune style) where all elements we know are living beings fighting for the right to own earth and at the end they make peace and die to become the earth we know.
just some ideas for great storys i guess, but have lots more written down that are a bit wacky aswell ....
but main prior is gods son. still looking for a great way to combine devil and lucifer into a human name and where to begin......maybe start backwards like memento but who knows......

When I was about 13 I wrote some short horror stories that I hid because they were so gruesome I was afraid if my parents found them I would be sent away (They sent me away 4 years later anyway :p) and later on when I saw the preview to Alien Resurrection I wrote my own version of it based on the previews (Different characters, no Ripley, etc...)
Right now I'm working on 2 writing projects. One is titled "The Continuous Life" and is influenced by The Butterfly Effect, Lost/Fringe and Terminator. The other is an untitled Sci-Fi/Horror influenced by the entire Aliens series, The Thing and Firefly.
Writer's Block be damned!!!

sounds great :-) i am truly inspired by lots of movies and series, books, comics, mangas, animes and deep mythology and history / science, to start on different storys or take a already written story and work out better ending...
i always hid my stories, since i thought people would find me bit mental. but seems i am not the only one hahahaha.....
do you seem to have problems with dialogues? keeping the story you have interesting and keeping some plot lines still hidden from the reader. i find that to be the hardest yet to achieve and now i am slowly realising why writers take along time writing a story.

I used to write a LOT. Someday, I will get back to it. I always had film/TV in mind when I wrote...
People say there are not original ideas, but I always thought at the very least, my stuff had an original take.
There's nothing new under the sun, but I always tried to be original with my stories.

yeah it doesn´t matter if most ideas are from movies and books already made and written, it´s mostly for you anyhow than for others. but i do like to find something no one has touched upon yet. but that is so hard to find these days, since nearly everything has atleast been in a movie or book before.
i am still working on the first draft of my story and will perhaps post it as a link so people can read it and give comments, critic .....all sorts to help me achieve a good story to tell
