@Turlock, so what do you hope for in a sequel?

I want to see a longer sequel. It seems to me that the characters who survived were well developed, very well in fact. To me, Shaw represents the faith and hopes of Mankind and David is the culmination of Man's technological knowledge. These two present a good combination to explore the Universe for knowledge about the origins of Man and why He exists, if there is a reason. But I would be very disappointed if they were ever conclusively get those answers- I expect Shaw and David to possibly encounter successive layers of higher intellegence, higher and higher until the explorers from Earth no longer have a point of reference to understand that which they end up experiencing. I am speaking of Shaw mainly, I believe Man has finite limits to understand and relate to the vastness of the Universe. But David may have the potential lacking in Shaw and may supersede humanity and replace it as the highest form of intellegence from the planet Earth.

A Sequel or a continuing story.... I would prefer not to use that sequel word... A longer movie, not rushed by an old man bent on immortality, more character building, "lets get to know the Engineers, before they tear our heads off moment," make it spooky and suspenseful, please do not justify mans actions in history to the engineers (we are what we are), limit the number of new creatures or have them make more sense this time, make the Engineers a noble race with justifiable reasons for wanting to destroy humanity... and do not under any circumstance let the past screenwriters near this project...
