MemberOvomorphJul-03-2012 12:35 PMShaw could put Davids head into the closed mask port obove the occupants seat looking rather undignified being decapitated as the seat converts into flight mode she could in some way pilot it by Davids guidance. Or She can have her seat raised up some how so she can reach the enclosing mask around her face and David-Head is perhaps lying rather undignified in her lap! Or near by in any case.
I'm betting that some how she would want to re-connect his head back with the motor-functions within his android body so as to facilitate a better functinality to the second Juggernaughts demands. If he had to make a crittical decision he may have to act quickly, quicker than Shaw.

MemberOvomorphJul-03-2012 1:01 PMI think she will possible reconnect David 8 with his main body, aside from the reasons you mentioned, we don't know what complications separating his main computer core from his life support system in the body will have? I was wonder this too... what ever actions she and D8 took, they were very quick about it. Watching the Engineer remove D8 head, it was almost like it was a mechanical maintenance lock, a quick turn to the left, and then to the right and lift. The maintenance techs had to have a means of removing D8 for repairs and upgrades... just some thoughts.
Thanks for posting HyperNova

MemberOvomorphJul-03-2012 1:59 PMYet another loose end. Evidently, David actually knows what's in the "Operators Handbook"- and thus A-Z on how the thing works and how to program & navigate the thing. How does he or Shaw actually suit up?! He's in pieces and she doesn't know 101 about any of it!

MemberOvomorphJul-03-2012 2:02 PM...Not to mention fuel for the ship, and life support for Shaw. That was a really quick end scenario. Lots to put into suspended disbelief, and much less thought out and fast paced.

MemberOvomorphJul-03-2012 2:05 PMWell he could exist outside in vacum and still communicate.

MemberOvomorphJul-03-2012 2:06 PMThere may be a situation where she goes into the cryo-stasis chamber and somehow David-Head pilots the 2nd Juggernaught.

MemberOvomorphJul-03-2012 2:39 PMDavid has repeatedly shown that he can't be trusted, I really doubt that Shaw would want to go in to cryo and leave David to his own divices. D wants to go back home, not to the home planet.
It reminds me of a scene from Star Trek next gen, where Data intentionally fried himself so that his own head would remain intact. Rieker then patched his head in to part of the engineering console and Data controlled the ship or parts there of from there. This with D's help might be something Shaw could accomplish.

MemberOvomorphJul-03-2012 3:04 PMNow now - don't go trying to fit "science into this movie." Others may not take kindly to it. "You" the audience are to intuit what happens with David and Shaw - unless they address this in the opening scene or something of the next movie; perhaps a Janek style summary where they speak for 2 minutes and all riddles of space travel, hypersleep, and piloting are answered.

MemberOvomorphJul-03-2012 3:41 PMYes, o.k. inquisitor Tremayne. Your right, premature 'ejection!'
I've seen Airplane II: The Sequel lol! :-)

MemberOvomorphJul-03-2012 3:42 PMSeriously thought your ight in some ways, I hope there will be some sort of explanation via inter-character exposition.
