My theory

The derelict on LV 426 was already there before the events of Prometheus, and the Xeno appears to have existed long before the mission to LV 223, hence the mural in the ampule room, but, I have seen nothing in the movie to connect the eggs inside the derelict on LV 426 with Prometheus. The Female host-Xeno Queen theory sounds Ok though and may well be something explored in movies to come, as the facehugger from Alien 3 impregnated Ripley and later a dog. Like you I also dig the "If's " and "But's"

How do you know it was there already? There was nothing in any of the movies to suggest this... I think you should read my post again. As for Alien 3, there must have been two facehuggers, because we know they die after they plant the alien embryo in the host. The dog was a male, the reason it wasnt a queen it birthed.

I prefer to believe that LV-426 was long before prometheus, some hundred thousand years maybe, as it was FOSSILIZED. Or did it only "look" fossilized, but was much younger? Hell knows! But i choose to believe that these Eggz in the ship on LV-426 from first Alien were some "old" weapons, and the black goo introduced in prometheus is a "modern weapon" from the engineers. And the engineers are not "THE" engineers of life, they are just clones, maybe made from HUMAN DNA (and not that WE are made from THEM), and has been improved to make them stronger - perfect warriors! From logic sight of view, the creators "seeded" some DNA millions of years ago on many planets. They wanted the perfect warrior, so they did let time pass and millions of years of evolution cycles, so that the STRONGEST survives. Then they took human beeings from earth and improved their DNA - after millions years of evolution this was a good DNA source. So maybe this could also be the reason why mankind is not needed anymore - the creators did get what they wanted, a good dna source for their warriors, and mankind could be seen as some "danger" as mankind gets more and more intelligent and could one fine day attack the creators... After a experiment, you normaly destroy the stuff if it is dangerous, or close it safely somewhere where it can not do any harm. So behind the species introduced in promethes must be a "creator" species, hopefully these creatures are much different then the "engineers". Must be some superior "alien" DNA, not "human" DNA - hopefully! And in the sequel we will find out who they are and whats the purpose of their life-giving works. Hopefully this is far beyond from "human" logic, and hopefully we will get some fu..ing Answers.... and a good thrill...

First of all welcome to the forums epharron83... Secondly, your theory is not new, many of surmised this theory before on many threads and posts. In future can I suggest doing a search for other threads before posting, just in case what you are about to post has already been covered . S-bottom, Cannot argue your point regarding the SJ being "too old" to be Shaw. However, the only evidence we've seen in Alien(s), etc. is that eggs come from queens, so the cargo in ship on LV-426 either has a queen aboard or a queen elsewhere laid them. But let's remember that in Aliens there IS a queen; she was either there all along or was spawned after Burke sent the colonists to their doom. A side question: I see you are "Staff" to this site. Are you an agent for 20th Cent Fox; RS; both? What are your duties as a staff member? Do you have inside knowledge of Pro'? Please expound.

Yes the dead Engineer is both too old and too big to have been Shaw. Also Ridleys statement of which is in the thread to which I linked too states that the derelict Engineer craft had been there for thousands/millions of years and was a "bomber" carrying a cargo of eggs. This is supported by the film Alien. Not only are the eggs covered by a layer of blue laser-mist, they are also arranged in an organized fashion. had the eggs been laid by a Queen they would have been placed throughout the ship, not just the cargo hold, and in a haphazard fashion. Also there would have been evidence of a hive composed of secreted resin, there was not. The Queen present in Aliens was most likely born from one of the colonists on LV-426. I am a fan of the films and a former member like yourself whom has been entrusted by the Admin to be a member of his much trusted staff.
