Cave or cargo hold?

It was shot originally to be a chamber in a "pyramid" much like what houses the action of Prometheus, but the budget to make the rest of the shooting possible was cut (or never existed in the first place), so it became a "cargo hold" as a necessary conceit.
[i]“The pyramid and the Derelict were still the subject of a see-saw debate when I came on the project ["Star Beast"]. Would love to have shot it, but the more I thought about it the more I realized it would have been wonderful in a three-hour version. What finally cracked it it was the budget. We just had to get rid of it.

The scale of it clearly does not fit that of the 1979 Juggernaut, but... oh well...

Thought as much. Its too big scale wise to be in the ship. I think it docked with the "Pyrimid" to pick up its cargo only to be caught off guard...
