Hi this is my first discussion here so im nervious 2 then see all the answer, but here i go.... A few days ago i was reading an article of a interview with RIDLEY, and at some pint i read, that PROMETHEUS is gonna have 2 childrens, one of them is ALIEN and the other one only god knows...THAT IN RIDLEYs words... So i was thinking that the PROMETHEUS posisitivism and the epic felling of the movie is right, because it is supossed that WE WERE SEARCHING FOR OUR BEGININGS, so that something positive, something humanity dreams off, so that a happy thing, that why PROMETHEUS is like that, but the the phrase ends with.... WHAT WE FIND COULD LEAD US TO OUR END., that were ALIENS and the other child is born, when we reach the goal, and we discover that it wasnt what we expected, and it turns to our worst nightmares embodied, theres were ALIEN is born, and only god knows what is the other end we will find.... so i think that were everything turns out to horror an ALIEN starts....

If you want to start questioning this movie, I hope you brought lots of snacks and a few changes of underwear. You're going to be on your own personal roller-coaster of questions, answers, opinions, changing your mind, going off the rails on a crazy train. If you haven't already figured that out, by I'm sure, all the thoughts about the movie that have ran through your head before you even posted. Anyway Welcome: To the Twilight Zone!!!

The end message might ultimately be that God does not love his children. I think Asimov had a similar thought in one of his stories - people go to heaven alright, but not for the purpose that they imagine! In Asimov's story, the purpose was for the soul to spend eternity trying to figure out a way to bring God's existence to an end (he was well fed up of living forever).
The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent

@rabernathi - Dude, after reading your post, I asked myself three questions: 1) Was this guy sober when he wrote this? 2) Is his native language English? 3) What is the point of his post? Seriously, my brain hurt after reading this.
