Loove the 4-panel strip! and I would've preferred that alternate Fifield concept. I've seen another model they made somewhere that looked pretty good. In the end, the only thing scary/creepy about that whole scene was the crumpled-up position he was in when they found him

That's great Patch! Juggernaut, I love the drawing of the alternate form! Jim, I agree, his position was the scariest...would have been interesting if things could have continued on in a weird/scary fashion like that for the Fifield character.

I agree with you on fifield's form. It's alternate one seems much more gigeresque and creepy. And it supports the idea that the black goo turns its hosts into xeno-like creatures.

Another thing about the alternate form from "Prometheus the Art of the Film" they state that "Fifield was meant to be the midway point of the Hammerpede and the Deacon".

Fifield versions, SpaceJockey shrinkage, and other goofy shit, gives me the feeling they DIDN'T REALLY KNOW what they wanted to do with this IS IT? ISN'T IT? prequel to Alien, it's like they got LOST once Lindelof came on board. Fancy that...
