Weyland Industries in P2

Hello everyone! I have really enjoyed the many insightful discussions here & have finally joined up to post one that is neither enjoyable, or insightful. I just had to ask if anyone else noticed the Fascist-looking uniforms David wears. The Weyland logo is even very Luftwaffe-esque. These small details help in leading me to believe that Weyland Industries is going to become a bigger badder wolf. In P2/P3 we may even get to see more of their downward slide into the seedy world of the black-hearted corporation they are by the time 2122 rolls around. We all know David is no angel, but why does he have to dress like a Nazi? Maybe to be even more untrust-worthy?

@svanya: I agree. It looks more communist than fascist. It's a sneaky contradiction because that kind of attire is all about modesty and conformity. In that sense, it's a sort of disguise for David. The Weyland logo is inspired by Egyptian Wings art.
The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent

@Cerulean Blue if you will notice that a lot of my post have a signature at the bottom.. for example: staff: Weyland Corporation Remote Monitoring Post LV-223 staff: Weyland Corporation Entertainment Mars Division staff: Weyland Corporation; flight test unit Mojave desert staff: Weyland Corporation Entertainment and Leisure Services Division staff: Weyland Corporation Exotic Life Forms Containment and Experimentation Division. These are all made in fun, but the truth of the matter is that you are so very correct in your theory that "Weyland Corporation" will be a bigger badder wolf.... in truth they will run peoples lives quite literally in all the colonies, and every aspect of their lives.

Hi Cerulean Blue, and welcome to the Forum: I see your point, and it does have a kind of "intimidatory policy" look to it.

It looks like a "Mao suit" from the 50's. I think it means to represent his being a serial model (not unique) and a blind follower of his "leader" Weyland.
