I was wondering that too... I checked what the date is when the timer runs out...it's 10.11.12, the date that everyone's going crazy to know more about around here. (including me)
So hopefully something big will happen when the clock hits zero on 10.11.12.
It better not disappoint.

Count down to the Armagedon, i heard some one else say!
I think its the count down to the DVD/BlueRay release mate.
Mmm, not too sure, it is Damon Lindelof we are dealing with here!
The poster was good though!

OHHHHHHH is that the date that they had at the end of the credits????? i saw that and was like "whoa whats that mean?" and then i saw a page about it but never got around to reading it... and then i have been gone for like 2 months lol
Bo CherryAugust 10, 2012
@ invaderzim42 - Yes that is the date at the end of the credits.
You really need to check out www.whatis101112.com, the newest viral campaign site for Prometheus.
We believe (or hope, really) that something big will be announced on that day...no one has any idea what, though...an extended cut of Prometheus, perhaps? Sequel news?
We'll find out in just over two months, which I believe IS TOO LONG OF A WAIT.

thanks for responding :D i will need to read into it more, been gone forever.....

You're welcome, man! There's also a phone message from Weyland Industries that you should check out on the 10.11.12 site. You can't make any sense of the second part of the message because it's really gibberish. (Believe me, we tried to make sense of it...we had our best people working on it. lol) Still, it's worth a listen or two...Peace!

the truth is:
I started one of those darned Chain Things here at a Thread, stating that the text had to be sent to 5000 people or the person that brakes the chain would die.
Someone broke the Chain Thingy.
The countdown is the time that person or those peeps have of life remaining.

On that site (www.whatis101112.com), the woman's voice says "Prometheus, relaunching 10 11 12". Oo-er.
The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent

I've come back to the uglification of this forum
Such a shame. It's terrible on the eyes now
FeebsAugust 14, 2012
@MVMNT what's wrong with it? Only thing bothers me is the big font only, otherwise I like the new look of the site.
This is my forum signature.

Feels like the site is gradually coming together tho...on 10 11 12: dvd seems to be on the 8th now so it still is a separate date if it turns out to be on the 11th and that's it ill go mental :P ...

@Feebs - the whole thing is unbalanced - very disjoited viewing experience.
There's hardly any sort of a grid being employed, which it needs for a start
It's just very untidy, and a lot of CSS needs tweaking, be it margins, font sizes, the positioning of elements.
The back end may be improved, but I think the front end has taken a step backwards big time
