never thought of it as a Chair Suit , Bio -suit to me

looking beautiful! Initially, i was only interested in the "pressure suit" model. Now... i think i might be going for both. I know some are upset with ridley's decision to alter the original SJ design (to a humanoid, man in suit concept), but I absolutely love the look of the "engineers". The more i see them, the more i really dig the design. So thankful that we didn’t get an elephantine creature lumbering about.

Anyone know the release date? Retail price? And retail stores that are gonna carry them? Thanks

David 1: Phew for once i'm not alone here ha! Plus the finish on the engineer sans suit just seems really Matte and plain with no real depth to it. Not like the original promos for it

They did have pupils in the film but they looked nothing like the figures. I will definitely be altering mine. Even if you've never painted anything a day in your life you could go with all black and it would look better than that. The expression on his face is terrible as well. Might have been right for the sacraficial Engineer but they should have went with a different expression for this one. At least I can lay my hopes for a really kick ass Engineer on the crash damaged version that will come in the 2 pack.

the issue with the eyes is baffling, but i dont have a problem with the engineer's expression. Seems pretty true to form. I would really be into a sacrificial engineer figure (with robe, ceremonial urn etc)

@joeyjoe...If you ask me that ezpression says "I just farted and I'm hoping you didn't hear it" instead of "Because you have interrupted my beautiful slumber I'm going to rip your head off and smack that guy with it!" I just wish it had the inquisitive look the Engy gave the humans after they woke him. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it's not an angry exprssion. It just doesn't nail it for me. It would work better if the eyes were right. And as lame as they look here you're going to have to go through 3 or 4 different figures to get one that looks right. Trust me, the paint on the eyes is always an issue with NECA figures. It's always off. One eye will look like it's looking left and one right. It really matters if the eyes are an especially important part of the figure. Had this problem with their new Evil Dead 2 line with the different versions of Ash. Had to go thru all they had to get the good ones. We shall see. At least I have my avatar to be really, really excited about!

I think the look for both figures fits good with the "original". It is not a Sacrificial Engineer .. so I can't wait to have the Set of 2 (including both: Pressure Suit Engineer & Chair Suit Engineer)... the 'Set of 2 should be around $38.99. Would be cool if Neca could release also one of the Elders & also a Sacrificial Engineer (including the monk robe, the ritual bandage hip belt + the black substance bowl). :) So far, I like em both (Pressure Suit Engineer & Chair Suit Engineer).

I've had both on back order from entertainment earth since June.
