MemberOvomorphAug-27-2012 11:51 AMI doubt people will love the pace. Considering the population which appreciates anime. Pace was so crappy for this movie and many other stuff. However, the prometheus universe is interesting, which will inspire few artists for some tangent stories.

MemberOvomorphAug-27-2012 11:58 AMI am totally mesmerized by prometheus success at the box office....it's done way better that a lot of people anticipated....it killed "the lorax" and if it makes another 2.6 million it will officially sink the titanic..(3d re-release)....
You can check out box office mojo 2012 yearly worlwide chart here:

I say it will end it's cinematic run between 350 - 380 million....and that will make me and many fox executives smile big time? ....but it already has done better than i anticipated!

MemberOvomorphAug-27-2012 12:03 PMI am not surprised multiplex going crowd has no options these days. I mean if hunger games and dark knight rises makes more money, why not prometheus?

MemberOvomorphAug-27-2012 12:56 PMI should think Prometheus would do well in Japan, their appetite for surrealism is...well, surreal. Plus, pretty girl tentacle distress! Go Japan!

Has androids? --------- check
Has tentacles? --------- check
Japan will devour it.

MemberFacehuggerAug-27-2012 6:58 PMI understand there is some tentacle hentai that precedes the film in Japan. lol. I wouldn't mind seeing a tentacle hentai spoof called Promiscuous.

MemberOvomorphAug-27-2012 8:17 PMIt is a success. No doubts about it. They even greenlit the sequel weeks before such great news. General audiences are not completely averse to films that rely on challenging ideas and that do not spoonfeed them all the time.
Considering it cost 180 million (130 million budget + 50 million marketing & advertising), Fox must be happy with the outcome of their gamble.

MemberOvomorphAug-28-2012 9:30 AMDoes Asian nations prefer sub-titles to voice overs? I couldn't imagine David's voice redone in another language. Fastbender's articulation is just too good.
The Intouchables must of been some badass foreign film. Only 2% of the $363 Million came from the US.

MemberOvomorphAug-29-2012 1:24 PMI saw Avatar IMAX 3D in Taiwan and it was subtitled. People seem to enjoy it
