MemberOvomorphAug-27-2012 10:52 PMWell, at this point we've only seen an almost fetal version of the Deacon. Kind of hard to say without knowing what he'll grow to.
Put it this way, the xeno grew from the small chestburster into a pretty large beast. If the size comparison is the same and the Deacon will multiply in size as the xeno did it will be a much, much larger beast alltogether and imo, would kick the xeno's a$$.
Being as they may be descendants who knows if they would even want to fight eachother.

MemberOvomorphAug-28-2012 7:57 AMthe xeno from 1979 seems scarier. the deacon seems stronger.
I think we don't know enough about the deacon to elaborate a combat between both.
Have you heard of phoenix asteroids?
They glow in every color of the rainbow...they travel endlessly through space...

MemberOvomorphAug-28-2012 10:52 AMlet me see... Alien is big, is bulkier, has a naughty behaviour, has acid for blood, has a longer inner mouth thingy, has a goddamned raping tale.
Deacon has... a pink inner mouth.
Alien wins

MemberNeomorphAug-29-2012 1:47 PMI find it amusing but at the same time annoying, how the original Alien (necronom) is labelled as a "Drone" and the Aliens, in the second film, are called "Warriors"? The Original Alien is almost indestructable, where as the "Xenomorphs" in the second instalment, explode like water balloons after being hit by a few bullets. Seems to me that the Original Alien (necronom) is far superior.
We haven't yet seen what the Deacon is really capable of. So this is a question that should be asked after the sequel maybe.
The poster was good though!

the alien in the first movie is the same as in the second, the "drone" name was given to it by extended universe as i understand, and it was never "indestructible" and they popped like water balloons in the second movie is because they were being hit by armor piercing explosive tip rounds. i think anything would pop like a water balloon lol

MemberNeomorphAug-29-2012 6:25 PMThe Original Alien was hit with a nuclear fuel blast, from the engine of the escape shuttle by Ripley and it stayed in one piece (although probably dead?)
The poster was good though!

"a perfect organism" says it all. Yeah, I don't follow the "drone" and "warrior" and "predalien" and that weird stuff. Alien is... Alien.

MemberOvomorphSep-02-2012 3:30 PMthe alien did not explode or whatever from the engines because it was a low budget movie, they only had one suit so i dont think they would want to blow it up.

MemberOvomorphSep-12-2012 10:16 PMas someone else said.. deacons a baby, drone was fully mature.
i'd imagine this thing, would slaughter a queen.
deacon will be alot smarter than any other xeno..
heck, wouldnt surprise me if the thing decide's to pick up a gun and "get sum"
also.. i think there's only 4 types of aliens in the films (correct me if im wrong) but.. drone, queen, dog thing in 2, the hybrid in ressurection..
not including facehuggers.
i think warrior class, stems more from the games etc. than the films.
