MemberOvomorphAug-29-2012 10:08 PMSome of you may remeber my collection thread where I posted pics of an Engineer helmet that I was getting. Well, I backed out at the last minute for some odd reason that is now clear. It was fate. I'm in the process of securing this bad boy which is much better quality than the other. The helmet is also removeable to reveal the Engineer's head!
Anyway, please pray for me lol! I have to sell 2 pieces of my collection to be able to afford it but it won't be too difficult as I'm going to price the pieces very, very cheap to sell them fast.
Anyway, take a look...

MemberOvomorphAug-29-2012 10:16 PMThat is pretty frikkin' dope, man!! Was it made by someone, or a mass produced product? And good luck!!
I may work for the company, but im really an OK guy.

MemberOvomorphAug-29-2012 10:21 PMMade by someone. He's going to make "a few" but I'm not sure how many that is.
I think I'm going to have a coronary when it arrives. Rest assured I will take all kinds of retarted pics of friends and I "analyzing" it like Shaw, David and Ford lol.

MemberOvomorphAug-29-2012 10:26 PMIt think it would actually make me nervous as i seperated the helmet. (I'd be scared that joker's face would start twitching.) LOL

MemberOvomorphAug-29-2012 11:01 PMThat would be rather shocking lol.
The one thing that I wish the artist would have done is decay the front of the "snorkel" or "trunk" like it was in the film. Other than that I can't believe the accuracy. It must have been difficult to get the likeness of the engineer as close as it is.

MemberOvomorphAug-29-2012 11:05 PMThe bottom should be two halves as well, but i'm nitpicking. I couldn't sculpt a turd. LOL The artist did an amazing job.

MemberOvomorphAug-29-2012 11:23 PMI too was nitpicking. How much I'm giving up for this thing is a testament to what a great work of art it is.

MemberOvomorphAug-29-2012 11:56 PMToo much to admit without feeling like an idiot. I don't feel too bad because the 2 items I'm selling to get it turned out to be great investment pieces. So I'm telling myself I'm not actually spending what I'm spending. I'm telling myself I'm spending what I spent on the 2 items I'm selling when I first got them.
If that makes sense.

MemberOvomorphAug-30-2012 10:31 AMIt reminds me of a friends Special Effects shop.... the rendition looks fantastic and in a 1 / 1 scale the detail has to be out of this world, pun intended. Hope you have a glass display case for it. I have pieces myself that need the same treatment. I hate to think the cost of one of those, but defiantly worth it as a prop collectors item. Great job obtaining one. Thanks for sharing.

FREEZE!
Co-AdminMemberOvomorphAug-31-2012 9:48 AMso make sure to let us know when you get it! I think the detail is pretty sick! thanks for sharing the photos with us!
