In the months leading up to release of Prometheus many of the long term members threw many a wild speculation and and crazy guesses at what they thought, assumed andin some cases were certain would be in Prometheus. Heres a list of some of the wild theories that I remember... [u]DISPROVED[/u] - Holloway becomes the Engineer - David becomes a Xenomorph - Vickers becopmes a Xenomorph - Facehuggers inside the urns - Juggernaut crashes on LV-426 - Fifield mutating at the waterfall - Juggernaut flies by spinning - Spinning Juggernaut was the saucer shaped craft at the waterfall [u]PROVED[/u] - The Blue Guy was the Engineer (Space Jockey) - The Juggernaut was not the same one from Alien - Engineer temple based on Giger's Harkonnen Castle - Sacrificial Engineer at the waterfall Do you remember reading, maybe even posting a theory that was wrong or right before the release of the movie, if so why not post it below (with a link to the original thread if you can fiind it) and I'll add to the list.

When the full credits list was revealed and we saw 'sacrificial engineer' in it, some of us speculated that the engineers had to sacrifice themselves to create a new species. That's a proved one.

Have you heard of phoenix asteroids? They glow in every color of the rainbow...they travel endlessly through space...

I also remember people assuming that clips of the Sacrificial Engineer were Fifield mutating.

From Ridleys hints, i thought he was not going to directly link the Events of Alien to Prometheus as far as that the Derelict on LV 426 came from LV 223 as a consequence of events within the timeline of Prometheus. I did think that we would get some kind of vague explanation to the events of LV 426 but we never though. I also thought that the Stuff in the Urns would be proven to be connected with the creation of the Xeno Organism by a series of events, and that in Prometheus a similar series of events creates Shaws Baby and then Creature at the end. But after seeing the movie, well there are a lot more questions than answers and its not as straight forwards.... from what i make there is a connection but i am not sure its a case of the Urns Goo predating the Xeno but Vice Versa. I also expected Vickers and Weyland to play a more predominant role and that both would be alive right till the end of the movie. Which they never.

The movie "prometheus" having anything to do with Greek Pantheon mythology and it's following sequels PROTEUS and FETUS comes into mind.

Thats a good one genjitsu17 ;) Yes that was well speculated.... But proven in the movie that the Juggernaut well actually fly backwards as seen when Shaw and Davids ship flies off into space.

@Genjitsu17, I remember that; how some thought the Juggernaut spun to fly and some thinking this was the saucer shaped craft at the start of the movie. @ Pulserifle187, just use the search feature with the keywords "Blue" and "Guy".
